Walker Flat, Murray River South Australia / Taken on our driving adventure around the Murray Area this weekend
Where I stood to take this photo I should have been waist deep in water. / The depletion of the Murray area is a very sad sight
Fierce winds at the top of this lookout, fingers crossed for the sun to break through the clouds before setting. Only a couple of moments of it. Not what we were hoping for but at least we gave it a go !
Exploring the main street of Mannum on Friday night with Tam getting creative.
Sunrise at Mannums lookout, when the sun was about to come out and we turned around to be surprise by a rainbow, stretching from from one hill to the other.
Sunrise at mannum’s lookout, love the amazing cloud formations
Pelicans on the river murray around early morning after sunrise.
This panorama was taken by my husband, Matthew Bailey on the way home from the Mannum weekend.
taken on the way home from the Adelaide/SA meet up at Mannum South Australia 7-9th November 2008
RedBubble Xmas Meeting – Adelaide Group
Here is an all too common sight – the dry river bed of the Murray River. I hope it’s not too late to save this mighty river. Taken in Mannum, South Australia November 2008
Taken Saturday morning at Mannum Caravan Park at the A.S.A. Xmas meetup. All eyes were on the river at sunrise , when a rainbow appeared behind them. You definitely need eyes in the back of your head. Taken as it is with an Olympus digital camera.(other in for repairs). / !
The dryness of the landscape due to the drought in South Australia is pictured as Adelaide/South Australia red-bubbler group head off on another photo-shoot.http://images-0.redbubble.net/img/art/product:canvas-print/size:small/view:preview/2015723-3-mannum-photo-shoot.jpg!
Sunrise at the Adelaide/South Australian Group Meetup.
During our wanderings at the Mannum waterfall creek with the Adelaide/ South Australia Christmas red-bubble meet-up we came across pine-cones on the ground. I didn’t touch them, this was exactly how they were. / /
It was sad to see the effect of the drought on the Mannum bird Sanctuary. This was a protected sheltered environment for pelicans, swans, turtles and many other forms of birdlife. Unfortunately it is all dried up and you can walk across it. Mannum desparately needs more water . This a tourism destination and should be preserved. The Murray River is in the background. /
A shot taken at the Christmas meet-up for the Adelaide/ South Australia group near Mannum, S.A. (Let me know if it is not o..k. putting up this shot.)
At the base of the Mannum Falls, South Australia is a very scenic creek. Taken on the trek with the A/S.A. Christmas Meetup. / /
Sunset taken whilst having tea Friday night at RB Adelaide/South Australia Meet-Up at Mannum Fri 7th – Sun 9th.
Taken at Mannum falls, whilst at Adelaide/South Australia Xmas Meet-Up at Mannum Nov 08’
This is the first in what will be a series of ruins in the Mannum region (South Australia)
Looking like it belongs in stories with great glass elavators of modern times, is a mansion that floats. / This one is moored on the banks of the Murray River at Mannum and is worlds away from the days of the beautiful paddlesteamers.
Cactus never used to be on my favourite flower list but since discovering it’s amazing hidden beauty, I understand why that house somewhere between Adelaide and Dublin has their whole garden packed to the brim with different types of the prickly plant. / The cactus plants we used to have in the backyard of Laura had variations of pink and red. This particular species starts out red and ends up yellow. Such an amazing plant!
