I am most proud of this shot so far in my short time doing photography. This image incorporates my passionate nature with my love of the ocean. I used to lobster fish with my Dad and so the ocean holds a lot of dear, and not so dear LOL, memories for me. I almost froze my hands off doing this. It was snowing a little while before I took this shot so you can imagine close to the water, with a breeze, how cold it was. However, in the name of love and romance, anything goes! LOL

[Taken in Natural light] [As is] Inspired by the plight of extreme poor and sick children in rural and remote villages in Africa, I have dedicated my Life to helping as many as I can. “Together we can and are making a real difference”. Taken in Tunga/Zuga Village, deep in Kebbe state, Nigeria. Carla Is HIV positive. Since this Photo was taken in December 2007, Carla has improved, with our help. Sadly her mother died in February 2008. Now her Aunt cares for her.Many Children face hardship and in some cases are isolated from care and love within their community. A Parents Prayer for their sick child. / (2 Samuel 12:22) David answered: While he was still alive, I went without food and cried because there was still hope. I said to myself, “Who knows? Maybe the LORD will have pity on me and let the child live.” I am an Irish born Missionary living in London I spend much time living with the Kambari tribe, I get to know first hand the challenges they face each day just to survive. I also have the privilege of capturing not only hunger, sickness and often death, but the more happy occasions. This is Grace, and when I first met Grace in April 2007, she was suffering from Chronic Malnutrition, adn intestinal worm infection. This was taken in December 2007, and the difference in 2009 is wonderful. Thank you to all who prayed and donated towards saving Grace. Please do Pray for these precious suffering people in extreme poverty and for us as we press on in our mission to help them. I believe in the power of Prayer and a mighty God. />I am a missionary born in Northern Ireland and living in London for the past 23 years. This photograph of Angelena was taken while at a Church service in, Nigeria. This was the first time i met her. She was sitting at the back of the church against the wall on a seat all alone. I used full zoom and took over 50 photographs of her. This is the only one that came out good. this was not a planned pose and I caught her like this without her knowing. she was quite a distance from me. I was sitting on the platform waiting to be called to speak. This young Girl inspired me so much. Her young life is an inspiration to me of how faith and hope can carry us through difficult times. Angelina is 12 years old . She is one of the children we have been caring for for the past three years. When we found her three years ago she was close to death and without Parents. Three years later she is loved and attends school. We can and do make a difference to children in extreme poverty and sick. All it takes is Love and a heart of compassion to sow a little time and money into a child’s life and you will see the transformation. Angelina was dying from malaria when we first saw her. Now she lives a full life. She says she wants to be a doctor and help others who are sick. God bless her and all who helped us in helping her. 100% of all proceeds from sales of my art ,donated art, and donations made via Philadelphia Mission Charity website, goes to help extreme poor in Isolated and Rural villages in Africa. PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION. [AS IS} / I am a missionary, born in Northern Ireland and living in London. my passion in life is to help the poor in rural and isolated villages in Africa and India. Abhijeet in Hindu language means “one who is victorious, a star”. She certainly lives up to her name. 3 years old and already has faced abuse, and hunger. She was close to death and in much pain. Abijeet is one child we rescued through The INDIAN NEW LIFE MISSION, based in India. Her smile melted my heart and as I was told her story I could not help give God thanks for the few Indian Christians that reached out to her. With little money, they took her into the Orphanage, where now she is cared for. I now have sponsored Abijeet and for only £10 per month, she is fed, clothed and will attend a full education when she is old enough. I do not get financial funding from any Church, My own income is little. But I made my mind up a long time ago to share what God has blessed me with with the poor. I have not gone hungry, nor my family. I rent my home, and drive a car. My children are all educated and blessed by God. I have lacked nothing,because blesses the sower. Gods burning Love and Passion for the outcast and poor burns deep within my heart, and hopefully can be seen throgh my life and camera lens. Abijeet is a shining star and a true testimony of what Love and sharing can do. Please Pray for me, that I can bless many more suffering children like Abijeet. Strengthen my arm in Gods mission to reach the hurting of this world with his love and care. Pray and do what the Lord lays on your heart. You will become richer for it. Self promotion needn’t always be about saying ‘here, look at my art’. Your expertise, experiences and knowledge are just as good advertisements for you as an artist: Write a journal about an art event, gallery opening or exhibition you’ve attended. Sell someone else. Tell us about another artist you’ve spotted. Interview them. Give us a behind the scenes look at how you work. Show us pictures. Share hints and tips or write up a tutorial or ‘how to’ about the techniques you use. Share some great resources you’ve found online. Let us know about a big exhibition or show that’s coming to your town. Collaborate on a work with another artist then write about the experience. Tell us the story behind one of your works. Where it happened or what it means to you. Teach yourself a new technique or skill and write about what you learnt. Test drive (borrow) new camera equipment or computer software and write a review. / Once you’ve done these things, make sure you take the opportunity to get them out to the wider world. If social networking is your thing, post it as a note on Facebook, tweet about it on Twitter with a link back to the article and use relevant keywords so others may find it in Twitter search. Drop an email to a local paper or press if you’ve written about a local event. If you’ve written a great tutorial or review, think about bloggers that may be interested in sharing it with their readers. / / The key to getting started is to find something related to your art or your work that you’re confident in sharing or writing about. Don’t just focus on RedBubble as an audience, think about how you can get that extra bit of mileage out of what you’ve written about and who else might be interested.
