Carved By Nature’s Wrath / The 12 Apostles, Victoria Following a day of torrential rain and gale force winds, the sun shone momentarily, lighting up the moody sky, before plunging the rugged coastline into complete darkness. As night falls, a solitary waterfall is all that remains of the passing storms, returning the much needed rain to the swollen seas of the shipwreck coast. I took this shot of a very hazardous stretch of coastline on the very southern tip of Newfoundland just below a lighthouse. The winds were so high that day and the sea was whipped into such a boiling cauldron, my imagination was taken away. As I stood there and watched I could almost visualize a ghost ship emerging from the fog, the lighthouse that stood just above me was blowing its foghorn which added a sense of eerieness to the already somber scene. The winds lashed at me attempting to pluck me into the sea as a offering of peace for disturbing this epic battle between land and sea. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /
First storm to hit the area in over 6 months, I was so excited!! Straight to my chosen spot and took hundreds of shots, just waiting for that moment. The sky was so extreme, there was no wind, no rain, just the crazy clouds, and lightning! The rain of course was close, but I managed to get this before it started to pour :) Noosa River, Noosaville, Queensland. the boat is the same subject in River Living and I was very thankful it was still for this to work. Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available large, and best viewed large! :)
This is the final image after numerous manipulations this one feels right. I came as the lamb / I will return as the lion / I am his wrath…

Following on from Envy is ‘Wrath the Sin’ in the Sin series. Medium: Indian ink and gray wash.
My postmodern appropriation of a traditional Japanese print. Australianized by the addition of the mambo style kimono and Margaret Preston style border and signature, with a modern twist of heart tattoo and my approximation of Kanji which I hope represents the word “Wrath”. “Wrath is an ugly emotion which can destroy the beautiful. ink and watercolour painting in Japanese style. / I added this small painting to the small works exhibition showing in Melbourne at the Brunswick Street Gallery.
Here is my new improved vectorised WRATH tee, totally resketched, embellished and vectorised for added madness. Hope you like it. / Wrath is such an ugly emotion and rarely used wisely. Apply with CAUTION.
“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.” Rev 19:11 These are the days of grace. The King is giving His creation time to come to their senses, and even now has His nailed-scarred hand extended out to humanity, to all who will come to Him. He offers peace, salvation, and forgiveness. Yet, as any earthly king knows well, there will be those who contest His right to rule over them, and these objectors will have to be absolutely dealt with in order to establish His absolute monarchy. Why not acknowledge His might now? I certainly have, for I don’t want to be one of the countless rebels who are forced to bend the knee and confess Jesus Christ as Lord. I want to be “in good” with the Great King who is soon returning to reign and rule. Is this the Jesus we think about often? I would say, “No”. Yet, consider these words penned by King David, a man who knew his King quite well. “Now therefore, be wise, O kings; / be instructed, you judges of the earth. / Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. / Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, / And you perish in the way, / When His wrath is kindled but a little. / Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” From the Book of Psalms / Psalm 2: 10-12 / †New King James Version For an even longer artist’s description of this piece, and if you have the patience to read my rambling thoughts, please see my other gallery
Taken on the same wild night as “In the Beginning” but this time looking north to Sydney from Bundeena Cliffs in Royal National Park NSW Australia. You’re looking at about 20km of city in this shot so that is one long lightning bolt! Canon 30D / Tv: 5secs / Av: f/2.8 / ISO 100 / FL: 17mm

Raquel and I finally did it. We have chased storms, sunsets, brumbies and after weeks of watching the weather we got a lighting strike. I’m still buzzing, that would have to be one of the best highs I’ve had in a long time.
“Mother” is bloody angry these days… her “child” is crucified, her earth is plundered, her wrath is swelling, and truly, as only women bleed, for those who feel way too much … She cries tears of blood and as Shiva, does destroy and renew… yes “Mother Mary” was not meek and mild and all servile as they strung her only child upon the cross in public humiliation and herd aggression … this girl is a Woman now, and she shall not be moved, from her course of destiny, purpose… a mother’s wrath is a volatile force, and not easily reckoned with… nor is the Wholey “Mother” of us all, she bleeds, and we shall know the wrath of Mary. (Excuse me… darn nearly broke my keyboard whilst typing! ... I’m venting …)
Taken from Faraid Head looking towards Durness, the sky turned black the heavens opened and then the rainbow appeared. One of Scotland’s most beautiful places, with ever changing light.
God’s wrath which was prepared for the wicked poured out on Jesus instead of us the sinners. Christ, the King of kings who humbly came down to earth leaving his glory to die on the cross carried the weight of our sins on his shoulders. Climbing up that hill he was thinking of you and me.
