Timing was needed for this shot. That and 9 frames a second. Normally the only time one see’s a butterfly with it’s wings down is when it is dead. In this case the butterfly wings were up. I set up quickly, pressed the shutter release and left it down. Then I used my foot to softly shake the plant causing the buffterfly to fly away. The key was to get the butterfly on first down stroke of the wings. Sometimes you can capture it, most of the time you can’t. I got lucky with this one. Thanks for looking.
