I was really lucky to get this shot. While I was standing and trying my new 18-200mm VR lens on the beginning of a wooden bridge somewhere in Brooklyn, I saw her walking by herself on the bridge. She was so mysterious to me with her walk and clothing, therefore, I named my picture as: “Mysterious Girl” When you search the words “Mysterious” is the eleventh and “Mysterious Girl” is the number one picture on Google Images. In the corner sits a fool / the flowers of praise / once heaped upon her / now lie dead, turning to dust / borne away on the winds / of her own self disgust. I did this painting in very thick acrylics. I thought of the Fancy Dance competition with all their regalia then decided to use color theory in their dance outfits so the battle is just not in the dance but in the colors.
