If I could sum this up in one perfect word, it would be Ragadellic. Don’t you think? I guess one of my guilty pleasures are Chuck T’s. You just can’t get a more perfect shoe. This is the Converse Generation as they say. / Everyone takes photos of Allstars, I know, but they are a good subject, so why not? I recently got an intuos tablet. / This is the first “real” thing I’ve created while using it. / Other then this I’ve just been scribbling and trying to get used to using it. / I’m pretty excited about it!

This started out an a plain infrared image of the tree….. I may have gotten a little carried away because I just counted the layers and there were 15! The tree is in Edgeworth, Newcastle, NSW, near a new housing estate. It may be familiar to those of you who have been watching me for a while. I often like to go and visit this guy…hopefully he will be there for a while longer.

This is the third study painting I have created in a series of ancient Japanese graphic art works. This was inspired from the “Journey along the Passing Waves of the Shallow Rapids”. / Each piece I have done has been intense and rewarding. Worn Rabbit is an extension from the original series of 9 Animal Designs that are 4” x 4” canvas blocks that I created at end of 2007. I’ve utilised the selected pink or acrylic from the original series and inks on a distressed photo that I took and printed out on paper from one of my many sketch pads. The animal design series represents what we could be left with if we don’t take care of nature and all it’s creatures. With their charming toy like appearance, they could just end up like childhood memories.

I loved the colour and texture of this old suitcase that I spotted in Bo’Ness Railway station in Scotland. Bo’Ness is a small town on the banks of the River Forth which is home to a very well preserved steam railway. The old station has been extremely well preserved as an early 20th century train station. This photograph won 1st prize in Stirling and District Camera Club’s Annual Print competition for 2008.
