This is always my favourite time, to spend with the horses, I just love it when they go wild and get into their “running sprees” The Race / by Batgirl Your gait is long and strong / Your mane flows in the wind / You summon your courage, strength and endurance, / You are running to win. / You do not know what is at stake / Or what kind of hero you may be / / / Your only wish it to leave the others, hiding, in / your wake. / As your big heart thumps out your life-giving blood, / And your hooves seem to dance, / You would run forever, / if you had the chance. / As your hooves pound out a rhythmic beat, / The crowd jumps up, screaming, to their feet. / Your rider and you are together as one; / But the race isn’t over / You have not yet won. / As you get closer and closer to winning the race, / Behind you is an every growing space. / You pass the line with flying colors- – / But you must look back to see the others. / They catch up to you and pass you by / Their wind whooshes over you – - / They gave it their best try. / To the circle you go for you did win. / You have been born again / the Great Champion.

I thought this would be a nice card to illustrate the old cliche, “A woman’s work is never done,” and to honor women everywhere who work hard at home, on the job, within the family circle, in the community, in the church, in public service. This energetic little Eastern bluebird female exemplifies an honorable work ethic in her diligence at nest-building. (Note the bedraggled look of poor little Mama’s feathers; temperatures were in the 90s and she was really feeling the heat and humidity! Just about the same concept as a housewife sweating over the stove or the ironing board!)

This was my view at sunrise from my workplace on July 23rd. We have been working steady for the pass couple weeks and this is one of my rewards. When I go to work lately, I see the sunsetting and the sunrising. I will be sharing the best of them with you my friends. This is rather full on im afraid, it has probably ” too much information” . But after picking up the rubbish from the beach beside our home so often ..and looking at the journey its taken, the damage its causing, the polution..i made this peice..the back of it is an old map..hard to see..and the dog tags read “do not attempt to imitate or recreate the forms of reality ” the rubbish is as found… Linda Hogan wrote / “There is a way that nature speaks, that land speaks. Most of the time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the story”

Yes, another sunrise taken from my workplace in Port Hardy, BC on Vancouver Island. It’s the best part of my job, to enjoy this beautiful scenery every time I look out the bay & Mr. Eagle put an added beauty to the scene! In 16 years, so many different colors and so many eagles! I have seen the worst and best that this bay has to offer! Hope you like and like always, thank you for viewing my point of view!!
