Word-play is one of my favorite kinds of fun, especially when I can turn it into an entertaining image. Another favorite is to “put words in his mouth”, giving a different meaning to a situation. Here’s a collection of my creations from the past few months. If I can cause you to smile, we both win :) :)

Being a guy, I have to admit that I was quite excited when I was presented with an opportunity to have a free screw. Yes, I know, you are probably thinking, “Geez, that’s gotta be kinda dangerous! Out in the street like that… you never know where that screw has been.” But, I must say, I didn’t really care about that. I’ll take a free screw any time I get the chance, and I’m happy to say that this isn’t the first time this has happened; I certainly hope it’s not the last, either. So why did I go for the camera to document this one? ...it’s not everyday a free screw is such a long one!

I was away from my computer when I thought of the wordplay that was possible with “Ma and Pa”, and I was VERY determined to not forget it because I sooooooooo wanted to create a picture for it. I knew I already had pictures of a cat in mid-yeowl, but I had to get Thea’s help to acquire a paw shot. And here it is… a traditional pioneer portrait of Ma and Pa :) /

The idea for this design was born whilst having a bit of a giggle with fellow Bubbler Dee Boylan over my other Royal design Pom Pom Dee… if it sells enough, I’ll shout you the seafood dinner you sooo desire ;o) Facts: / 1. Prince William’s hairline is starting to receed. / 2. Prince William is 2nd in line as heir to the British throne. / 3. Advanced Hair is a hair loss treatment company with famously annoying ad campaign featuring celebrities (usually sportsmen like Shane Warne and Greg Mathews) / 4. Their ad slogans used to be “Advanced Hair… Yeah Yeah!” / 5. I have a passion for parody and wordplay. Mix them all together and the result… is this smashing t-shirt! Enjoy. Over here there’s been a leak that some MP was planning an orchestrated email smear campaign (I don’t even know what that involves) against the Opposition, and after various bits of uproar and outrage, Prime Minister Gordon Brown decided he was going to ‘take full responsibility’. But… what does that mean? Is he resigning? No. Is he going to introduce an inquiry? No. Is he going to fire the MP? No. Is he introducing a new members code of conduct? Not as far as I’m aware. Is he calling an election right now so voters can hold him accountable? No. / / So what, then… if I may ask… does ‘taking full responsibility’ ACTUALLY MEAN. Beyond some bullshit martyr-expression that sounds brave and sombre but requires him to do absolutely. fukking. nothing. at. all. / / It’s utterly outrageous. Utterly contemptuous. Totally nonsensical. And, effectively, an insult to the electorate, political process, democracy, take your pick. Sure I’m exaggerating. But if the Prime Minister can throw out random words that sound grand and noble, surely I can do the same? One day I’ll have to become a citizen of whatever country I reside and cast my single vote so I can make a difference Fuck that. I’ll design a t-shirt instead.
