Here is the image following ‘Red Ribbon’. My little girl worked out how to open the heavy back gate and thought she could escape into the big park at the back of our new house. I decided to add this image to satisfy the curiosity of everyone who wanted to know what she saw through the hole in the gate!

At one with the forest, she slowly becomes a part of it, the creatures around her, accepting, willing her presence. 2008. Age 21. “Glancing up at the stars I feel comforted by the enchanting tapestry; a beautiful contrast of sparkling silvers attached to a black sky. It is darkness tantalized with mystery, and shares the emptiness I feel in my heart.” Ready to Die… Thank you for looking.

I took this photo in Pontypool park. A great place to go for a stroll, its peaceful and pretty and this particular morning there were sunbeams where ever we looked. It was breathtaking. / / /
went to the Brecon Beacons in South Wales at the weekend and photographed these beautifull, mystical trees coverd in moss and lichen. They inspired me to do a bit of artwork :-) Doorway comes from St. Konan’s Kirk, Loch Awe,Scotland Now featured in my new Calendar:
I love my walks in the woods … and I do come past this particular spot fairly frequently … never does the light seem quite right for a shot with character and personality …. you know the kind of shot I mean – one that “says” something!! Well, until this particular morning of course!! Imagine my delight and wonder at the display before my eyes! Epping Forest, Essex, UK Canon EOS 450D 18-55mm kit lens
This is an old image from 2007. / It’s a self portrait taken indoors with studio lighting and then I had a stock image of a forest I composed onto the background. It was done so long ago I don’t have the information on where I got the forest stock, so I can’t credit it. But it was a moderately used texture which doesn’t dominate the piece. The hair was saturated in PS. © Jessica Walker
I kept expecting this mom and kits to start singing and dancing at any moment, I felt like I was watching a Disney movie being made. Yes you could say that I love Raccoons.
Another image taken from a woodland walk last autumn. Part of a series which I hope to put up on my website very soon.
Every time I look at this photo that I took on my back deck, I can’t help but smile. To me she looks like she is looking to the Heaven’s giving thanks for finding this big perfect pecan and having it all to herself. / / 509 view as of 11/12/2009
Headed out especially early this morning … up to the woods … to the deer sanctuary to be specific … ... well … you know, nothing in life is ever guaranteed!! ... Saw some deer – in the distance ... !! / Chuckles / Eventually we decided to walk … open ourselves up to the world of possibilities. Would have it that today was the day for many a mushroom to break into the light of day and make his appearance in the world of Epping Forest. It was truly quite incredible!! I saw mushrooms today that I never before knew existed as a species ;) / :) / Out of all the ‘shroom-shots, I just love this little “village” :) 04 October 2009 Canon EOS 450D / Focal length:65 mm / Exposure:1/10 at f/9 / ISO speed:ISO 400
