Both times I have been out in the last week I seem to have been drawn to woodland – even though it’s not what I went out to photograph. On Saturday I planned a long walk across the moorland, returning via a valley I have neglected to explore in full (despite the fact that it is only a few miles from my house!). Originally planning to photograph the limestone pavement on the moor, instead I discovered a moss covered valley which provided endless photographic opportunities….this image being one of my favourite (and certainly the most green!). Then this morning I had a short trip to my local waterfalls to try and capture a decent print image of Sgwd Clun-Gwyn Isaf. Although I did capture some images of the waterfall I fear that the image I am searching for is still being elusive. However, by turning away from the waterfall to the wooded valley I yet again managed to focus on the trees with a pleasing result. So whatever you plan to go out and photograph this week, don’t let other opportunities pass you by.
