A tranquil scene at beautiful St Mary’s Loch in scottish borders on 27/4/08. The loch is three miles long by half a mile wide, set in spectacular surroundings in the middle of the Southern Uplands about 50 miles south of Edinburgh. To preserve the peace and tranquility, only sailing boats use it, apart from the a few small fishing craft and the club rescue boats. / / It is much bigger and deeper than the nearby loch of the lowes and the bottom drops away suddenly to great depths within yards of the shore. This is a re-working of one of Linda’s excellent Lincoln Shots (“Wonky!”), intended to give a look of 1960’s or 70’s colour film. I’ve done this and another similar one as background preparation for a painted collaboration I’m going to start soon. Here is Linda’s original: /

Another variation in a series of 4 .. 5? .. 4, I think. Too tired to say, for a certainty. I think the darker hue to the skin, as it were, adds strength to the entire structure. I suppose that is why tans are so popular. Yes?
