I would like to thank Danny Hanrahan of redbubble for letting me use his fratal image Collaberation / http://www.redbubble.com/works/show/75279
Thank you all for your support of this image. It’s a bit scary to put these things out there, and I really appreciate all the comments it’s gotten. This is truly about me – where I’ve come from as a girl, and what I’ve gone through as a woman. I think it’s an image that many can relate to in some way, and as mentioned in some comments, it hits nerves. Rather than explain the photo, I’ll leave it up to the viewer. I think it may mean something different to each individual that looks at it. I don’t want to take that from you. To me, it has an important message. See what you can get from it, and I hope it will benefit you in some way.

my dear friends in a maze … ””“Shiranui” is a japanese word that is one of my favorite. It is a meaning of “unknown fire” in a literal translation of japanese “kanji”. / Shiranui is The phenomenon which it is dotted with much light on the sea at night, and is flicker and in sight. What is seen in the Yatsushiro Sea and the Ariake Sea in Kyushu is famous. The abnormality refraction phenomenon,an innumerable blip that far-off a few fire on a boat to lure fish (isari_bi) makes innumerable appearances by the difference of temperature that there is between the cool surface of the water and atmosphere of a tideland and an opinion to do are influential.””” / Shiranui Japan.2006

All images are @ Copyright Rosa Cobos 2009 . All rights reserved I wish to give credit and honor the work of the fantastic Spanish artist Manolo Valdés, whose statues of bronze made out of his vision of “Las Meninas” of Velázquez and the “Dama de Elche” (One of the most famous fenician head sculptures of the whole world. Along about four months all this work was scattered on the main streets of my city, and I had the pleasure of touching, cherishing, admiring and photographying them at leisure… even the little children had the chance to mount on them and find how brilliant and creative our human race is. / This one… my Breathing Bubbling Prayer is done with “Dama de Elche”s sculpture. You can easily find in Internet all the info you may wish to have about the same one. The rest… is my own.. for once the artist “gives” their work to the other souls…. these make it their own… and transform it to a new and different reality. I had to tell it… feel sorry and a little lazzy not to have it done before… Thanks for your attention. And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish. Then she made a vow and said, “O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.” ~1 Samuel 10-11 Stock Credits: / Woman by pieceofmestock.deviantart.com / Keys by bazzlestock.deviantart.com

And since we all came from a woman / Got our name from a woman / And our game from a woman… I wonder why we take from our women / Why we rape our women, do we hate our women? I think it’s time to kill for our women / Time to heal our women, be real to our women —Tupac Shakur model: Christine

I came upon a piece of art / a fractal I was told / and as I kept looking at it / I was mesmerized / My heart stood still / it went on hold. For as I kept on looking at this strange beauty / different things came into my mind. / At first it was a Madonna and child in the womb / waiting with love for when it was time / to hold him in her loving arms / cooing him and letting him know that everything would be fine. Suddenly the image changed / every thing began to swirl / I saw dancing and some swirling / to music that was divine / and my heart stood still / for the rhythm and its symphony came from heaven / and it beckoned me to follow / and mesmerized I didn’t want to be left behind. / What I saw was veiled emotions / with cycles of green / and as I swirled and twirled / I fell into an abyss of visual symphony. / Oh, what great ecstasy. / Isa, you painted music
