This is my absolute favourite paring ever! My reproduction of an artwork called Lily’s Embrace done by Perselus on deviantart.com. (I have contacted the original artist, and she is aware that my reproduction of her work is posted here.) Done in pencil. A Severus Snape/Lily (Evans) Potter fan piece. Check out all of my Snape art here

Ink, tea, watercolour and pencil on paper. / Drawing I did whilst reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire. / When the Wizard of Oz first appears he is really a strange visual paradox – grand and terrifying but also ridiculously phony and, frankly, a little tacky.

The caldera is about 6 miles (10 km) wide. The catastrophic pyroclastic eruption released about 12 cubic miles (50 cubic km) of magma to the surface. It was one of the largest eruptions in the last 10,000 years.Elevation: 8,106 feet (2,471 m) / / Volcanism continued after the caldera formed. Within a few hundred years cones had formed inside the caldera. Eventually, the crater filled with water. Wizard Island is the top of one of the cones. Llao Rock forms the step cliff along the caldera wall in the top left of the photo / Colour of this water is just like you see on the photo DEEP BLUE / / TECH:captured on Cold Clear day aprox temperature 40F..with Nikon d2x and nikon telephoto lens 80-200 mm / / WORK in this GALERY is COPYRIGHTED and solo owned by artist….DO NOT COPY …not for personal or comercial use……Any reproduction, modification, publication, transmission, transfer, or exploitation of any of the Content, whether in whole or in part, without express written permission is prohibited. This is the actual color of Crater Lake in Oregon. It is the deepest lake in the world, and because it has minimal animal or plant life in the lake, it is a pristine blue color. The lake was formed from the blast of a volcano (Wizard Island is the remnant). The only boats allowed are the tour boats, which are few and far between.

For fans of swords and sorcery! This highly detailed work is one of my personal favorites! This wizard is ready to battle with wand or sword, but he much prefers to work with his potions of power. These shirts are well made and the unique printing process creates a Bright, Colorful and Large image that is almost as good as silk screening and much, much better than what you get from cafepress. If you have any questions about this design, or desire licensing options don’t hesitate to email me or leave me a note at Redbubble. Please also let me know if you purchase one of my designs and what you think of it’s quality. You can contact me at : cybercatgraphics at yahoo dot com.

While testing out the new (at the time) Aquarel pigment sticks, I needed a large project on paper, so I got the biggest sheet of paper I’ve ever seen and launched into a drawing that would end up taking me 6 months on and off. / The sleep of reason begets monsters. I consider this my masterpiece at this point because it took the longest time, I used a new medium, and it’s the largest work on paper I’ve ever attempted.

Ink and pencil drawing on paper. / From a series of drawings I did whilst reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire. / This shows the Wizard of Oz in his true, mundane light. The suggestion of a skull in the background is referencing the Wizard’s potential involvement in the death of Dr. Dillamond the Goat.

A collaboration with Mark Walker who was generous enough to let me use his image…Shropshire Saturday Merlin, sage from another world, was a seer, magician, wise councillor and friend to three kings. But for all his wisdom was bewitched by the Lady of the Lake who turned his love to her own ends. She sapped his power and plundered his store of secret knowledge. He enabled Arthur’s ascencion to the throne by manipulating the Sword in the Stone and acted as his counsel in his early reign. Other images in my Mists of Avalon series… The Sword in the Stone / The Isle of Apples / Mists of Avalon / The Lady of the Lake / Guinevere / Camelot Mists / © Sarah Moore 2008

Drawn 2003. Age 16 years old. Used with my trusty blue biro pen only. I love drawing in blue biro. This was another drawn during a sleepness night. All I had was my blue biro at hand so started to scribble away. I started on the eye and just worked my way out, adding detail as I went. Sadly that also means any mistakes I had to live with… Still, i must admit i’m still very chuffed with this. How i did this when i was only sixteen i do not know. I’ve tried a few times to re-do it but it never looks as good! Details:

We read about certain people in medieval times who went about with crystal staffs that could give light at a moment’s notice. / Obviously they have stumbled on scientific knowledge not available to the masses. They kept that knowledge to themselves to achieve the status of wise men. / The wizard’s staff is perhaps an example of the earliest battery-operated torch in history. / / Fractal rendered in Apophysis
