This is one of my Dad’s photos. My Dad put some photos of his onto a disc that have won competitions, and this one is a particular favourite of mine! As I haven;t had a chance to get out with my camera for ages and take some of my own, I thought I would upload some of his!

I stepped out of the Chicago Board of Trade building and LaSalle Street looked remarkably empty and gray, but serene. On the four blocks of LaSalle between Jackson and Washington, the street is narrow, the buildings aren’t set back at all, and they are tall. It all makes the narrow strip look like a canyon, and this is often referred to as the LaSalle Street Canyon.

It SNOWED!!! And it was beautiful to watch. My only sadness is that I had to go to work and could not play out in it for awhile. But I did get a few pictures. Hey, it snowed!!!! Nov. 21, 2008 … eeek .. make me wonder what WINTER will bring! Stay safe and warm everyone!
