Watercolor on paper. This piece is a little older and was a style I messed around with for a while. I like the way winter branches break-up and frame the sky. Someone likened this to a stained-glass effect. i like that. Thanks for looking. Greg

Every so often I like to stand back and realize my exact place in the grand scheme of things…..
This is just a tiny area on my window (about and inch), and when it’s very cold out, the crystals and frost designs are just like a silver forest in the snow. Here in Canada, especially on the prairies – we have frost and snow from November to March. I’m quite proud to see how Canadians do their best with coping with the 5-6 months of cold. Hockey, Skiing, Skating, Curling, Snowmobiling, or simply enjoying even the little details of frost! We make the best of the cold as well as our wonderful summers.
Doesn’t much matter here if it’s cold, the winter brings pretty sights with the shadows and trees in the snow, in late afternoon.
This is a photograph of what it looks like in Dutch Harbor, Alaska in the winter time. As you can see there are no trees due to high winds that sweep through often.
