Wish that I had a hammock down by the river, to laze around in the shade…without mosquitos ;)
Our resident peacock, ‘lefty’ before he molted all those beautiful feathers…
One of my favorite subjects to photograph, loved the shadows of the two together ;)
Dragonflies have taught me to honor my inner truths, break through illusions and confront denials…what do they inspire for you? / / /
Feel the freedom found in Oneness, connect with Spirit and let it soar… A resident of our home, Wind River Ranch (shot from out of a window. / /

My favorite subject in photography and the hardest to capture, aside from hummingbirds. / Hanging out on a limb, this dragonfly is AS IS, other than sizing. / /
With the little bit of rain we have had recently, this little waterfall sprouted from one of our irrigation channels and made some critters very happy…

We have documented over 350 species in the past two years, since relocating to the Pacific NorthWest.
These little guys grace us with their presence all over the several ponds here, this one is blending in well, almost didn’t see him ;) / /
Been in and out all day photographing these beauties, there were two of them fishing the river today, the other photo will follow. This is the female, she is much larger than the male bald eagle. As is photo, other than re-sizing ;) On the wings of the Eagle
here is the male, smaller than previous shots’ female – they were both here all day fishing, although I didn’t capture them with a catch. Photo is as is, except for resizing ;) Shot at our home at Wind River Ranch, Naches, Washington – a free bird of prey! Hopi Eagle Dance
In North America, the eagle was considered great medicine power. To the Native Americans there were different kinds and divisions of eagles. The golden eagle had a very high rank. The most potent and magical was the sky eagle which the Iroquois called Shadahgeyah. Among the Hopi, the eagle god was Kwahu and according to legend, this great bird seldom came below the clouds; only the holiest of shamans ever saw it. Even the Aztecs said this bird represented celestial power and the rising Sun. / Nearly every Native American tribe had an eagle clan. They had songs to the eagle, eagle dances, eagle ceremonies, and even eagle secret societies. If an eagle was seen or even dreamed of during a vision quest, the seeker gained special medicine or spirit power. The person then had the privelege of using the eagle symbol on a medicine shield. The eagle had the greatest power of all birds and was associated with the Sun. They believed it could live in both the spiritual and the earth realms. The Eagle and the Hawk by John Denver inspired this work of two photos merged in Photoshop7.
As a Wildlife rehabilitator for the past 20+ years, it saddens me deeply at the loss of Wildlife in Australia’s Bushfires… / Wildlife Appeal here on redbubble is raising money to help to save those animals who have survived the fires, while over a million have perished. / This is the first shot for a calendar, but all following photographs included in this collection will be available for sale as cards, prints, etc and all profits will be donated to the WRAP organization. / Thank you for you support ;) / Bald Eagle shot from our cabin as she overlooks the Naches River, her favorite fishing hole… Animal Song

This is one of our outbuildings at “Wind River Ranch”, it houses an office that my husband Lynn calls the Man Cave, as it stores all of his AutoHaus, LA Roadster and Harley Davidson goodies, memorabilia and guy stuff. / As we approach our 3rd year here in Washington, the historical significance of this space becomes more clear – we have just found that the original deed for the property was signed by President Howard Taft, as he was the first to homestead here.
