In August, 2004, we were staying at a lovely B&B, when the rain came down in torrents one particular day, splashing so much on the windows it was hard to see outside. Thus it became a great opportunity to sit tight and paint a bright pot of geraniums that stood on a windowsill there. Watercolor painted on Arches 140 cold press, 8”x 9-1/2”

Location: Legan, Longford, Ireland. Old photo belonging to Johnny O’Neill, he was showing it to my daddy and left it down on the windowsill so I took a photo of it. A photo of a photo. I love it. Not sure who are the people in the photo or when it was taken but I will find out.
