I was taking portrait shots of the baby, she´s my cousins, through the kitchen back door window when the baby just latched herself onto the glass by her tongue and almost magnetically began to rise up the window frame. This image came about in an awesome way for me. Two weeks earlier, the model, Margrit, was telling me a bit about her life. She’s lived and travelled in many countries and taken lots of opportunities. She has also achieved great success with her photography. Several weeks later, I had an unusual chance to photograph her in an old train – the perfect location to reflect her life’s journey. / In Australia, Margrit has achieved her LAPS and AAPS, and is the only West Australian women to received international photographic honours AFIAP. Check it out After All We’ve Been Through girlinthestars my favourite RB poet and RB friend, also wrote an amazing poem for this piece. Here is After All We’ve Been Through: I listened to advice / And so, I am here alone / Lying in a creaking boat of hope / As bitty holes let / Our tragedy seep in / And I start sinking again I have tried to convince myself / That, yes / Yes / This is right / We should not be together / Their counsel for me to let you go / Is for something I surely don’t see / And yet they know But then why? This picture was captured in Arches National Park, Moab, Utah. A friend told me about this great morning shot so I did some research and went after it. It was a tricky climb to the top of a piller to get in the perfect position. I used a Konica Minolta DiMage A2, ISO 100, F/11, AP 2.8, FOCAL 9.8MM, Manual Exposure.
