I’m very excited to be a part of a wonderful group and to take part in another exhibition at the gallery. Again, a very big thank you to everyone involved. Anthony.

Hack: RedBubble art list exporter for Microsoft Windows
by Dave PearsonEver since I wrote getrbart I’ve been toyi…
Ever since I wrote getrbart I’ve been toying with the idea of writing a variation on that theme that might be useful to people who aren’t in the habit of getting “down and dirty” on their Windows machines, people who prefer not to install software they don’t know about and who don’t fancy running command line scripts. Last week I finally cracked and started work on something: This is a very early release of the software, it doesn’t do a whole lot of stuff. Things it does do: Lets you download a list of all your public art on RedBubble. Lets you save the list and load it again later. Lets you download it again (dur!) Lets you export the list as a comma-separated values file. Lets you export the list as a tab-separated values file. Lets you export the list as a set of HTML files, which might be useful for including in your own website (if you have one). Please note that this is a very early release of the tool. I’m making it available to people who are feeling adventurous (or foolish, depending on how you want to look at it) and who won’t mind reporting problems or giving suggestions. I can’t promise that it’ll do everything you want, but I can promise that it’ll be free to download, free to use and will always be free to use. If you fancy having a play head over here and have a read and, if you like what you see, download, install and have a play. PS: Yes, I know the application icon sucks in a big way. I’m a developer, not a designer. :P Version Details: v1.5.0.0 — Released 2008-05-21 / v1.4.0.0 — Released 2008-05-16 / v1.3.0.0 — Released 2008-05-16 / v1.2.0.0 — Released 2008-05-15 / v1.1.0.0 — Released 2008-05-14

Looking Out The Window / By Rain I lay here looking out my window / Watching as the darkness comes / It sneaks up on me nice and slow / The light chased quietly from the sky The chill comes next to rest in my spine / My beating heart as loud as thunder / Hands are shaking I lose all time. / I must get out I’m caged again Looking here, looking there / This isn’t helping. Oh! Not again / Eyes are going everywhere / When will I be freed of them They had their fun they had their turns / They think of it never once again / Their insides never churn / They took my right to choose!! They’ll pay someday I tell myself / Somehow they’ll know the pain / But really in my heart I think / What ever will that gain?

Hack: RedBubble Art Manager for Windows v1.2.0.0 Released
by Dave PearsonI’ve just uploaded a new version of my RedBubble art manager application...
I’ve just uploaded a new version of my RedBubble art manager application (this is v1.2.0.0). You can get it from here. The main change in this release is to enhance the “promote a work” dialog as per Julie Langford’s suggestion. Whereas before it simply let you promote with a simple image it now lets you promote with a simple image or one of the various product previews: Another change is that I’ve added a command that takes you directly to a work’s edit page on RedBubble, something I thought of after reading a comment made by Shelley Heath. Edit to add: I’ve just noticed a small bug. If you try and generate a promotion code for a mounted print with no border the resulting code doesn’t work. This is now fixed and will be available in the next release.

My Tasmania isle Poem is also in front window, its rather large, so its easy to read. Go and have a gander.

I am honored to have photos in the featured sections of the Windows and Doors group and the Lines group this week! How exciting! I usually just go along and post photos and am happy when anyone likes them. But getting recognition beyond views and comments is surely a great feeling! Many thanks to the group moderators and/or members who included me there. / / /

I’ve noticed that my Austin A40 Series is very popular! So to make sure you are all aware, here are is the old truck shot at from every angle (with a camera!): / This old Austin A40 is a permanent feature amongst the gum-trees on the father-in-law’s top paddock. You can tell how long it’s been sitting there by the branches growing in, around and over its shell! 1. Austin, Portrait / The portrait seems to be the most popular of these photographs. / 2. Austin, Left Door / 3a. Austin, Tray / 3b. Austin, Tray II / This image was added after finding I’d taken multiple shots and didn’t know which was better. So you can be the judge! / Only available as Laminated, Framed and Mounted Prints 4a. Three Austins Astride (Colour) / 4b. Three Austins Astride (B&W) / As you can see, I have made sure everyone gets a good look at this old Austin A40 truck on my “FIL” ’s property on Kangaroo Island. I just hope someone likes it enough to purchase as a series of cards or framed images. These would look good across the office wall for BOTH Donald Trump, Bill Gates and Paul Vanzella !! :D

My recent obsession is with reflections….i have found that reflecting an image, particulary a striking image like some of my sky images becomes more fascinating and more intense than if it was just on its own. / I have added a selection of my work regarding this theme….enjoy!

My very first video creation is now on YouTube KSeriphyn Design Vid Collection I spent an hour putting together a collection of all book cover designs and some of my originals into a 6:30 minute video presentation. I started using a fancy video editor but after it kept crashing my pc, resulted to using the Window Movie Maker that comes default with XP. I’m happy with how it has panned out considering I’m not cluey when it comes to video making and editing and my PC is a dinosaur. I won’t even go into how much (or lack of) RAM it packs; too embarrassing. Anyway, hopefully it does the trick and I get at least one view. I’ll be working on more video creations when I get the time and PC power to do so.
