Had to capture this image, with thoughts of movement around it. I have, what I envisaged, thanks to layers and Photoshop. / Llanidloes, Mid Wales, UK / Copyright 2007 / Clickable

This yellow dory was tied to the wharf for the winter. The boat launch had quite a steep angle to it… you can see the ocean far below, so the dory was secured with these blue ropes.I loved the contrast between the yellow boat and the blue ropes holding it securely. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / laminated print / /
Most people don’t die until the last moment; others start twenty years in advance, sometimes more. Those are the unfortunates. Louis Ferdinand Céline (1894-1961)

Don’t fall off! / Something metaphorical about this one.
Kansas / Dust in Wind I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment’s gone / All my dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiosity / Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind. / Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea / All we do, crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind [Now] Don’t hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky / It slips away, and all your money won’t another minute buy. Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind / Dust in the wind, everything is dust in the wind. / / /

I began to climb when we got the region..And then, I climbed around 5000 ft.. Then the mist began.. So I had to stop climbing cause it was getting risky and I dont like making mistakes “in purpose”.. I waited around 10 mins but saw the mist was coming up on me.. So I gave up and decided to go back down.. :)) This time it didnt want me to climb.. So I got back and after 5 mins, storm began with the wind.. :(( (anyways, I did the right ) / In this week we will try again and again… Although we get the forecast from the satellite, it doesnt somehow match (or it changes too fast) :)) I keep posting them in serie :) / This one is one of the first shots when I got to region.. / Well I keep trying :)) TAke Care All :)) / Region Arhavi -TURKEY / October 2008 I HAVE TWO MORE ACCOUNTS / Digital is only for digital paints and HDR is only for HDR merged as is shots… If you would like to see them as well here are the links:
The Stag was once drinking from a pool and admiring the noble figure he made there. “Ah,” said he, “where can you see such noble horns as these, with such antlers! I wish I had legs more worthy to bear such a noble crown; it is a pity they are so slim and slight.” At that moment a Hunter approached and sent an arrow / whistling after him. Away bounded the Stag, and soon, by the aid of his nimble legs, was nearly out of sight of the Hunter; but not noticing where he was going, he passed under some trees with branches growing low down in which his antlers were caught, so that the Hunter had time to come up. “Alas! alas!” cried the Stag: We often despise what is most useful to us
Acrylic painting. This painting was inspired by the lake that we visit in Northern California. The trees are so thick and there are layers and layers. I would love to work on more like this and get a better feel for the trees, but for now I enjoyed finding a way to show the beautiful pines as the caught a Moment of Sun. / / /

“Dilys” is very intriguing to me…her name originates in Wales and means “perfect”....at the end of the painting session she was Dilys and that was it…but I keep wondering what her story is all about…she wears a purple ribbon in her dark hair, and her lips are parted gently…what is she thinking? “Wild is the Wind” is part of the semi- abstract collection that showcases the effect of wind..at 22×30, it is the largest of the series…painted with one 3” chip and two colours, it follows the tradition of the other paintings where the wind is interpreted by the movement of the brush loaded with colour… no drawing in done prior to painting..watercolour on gessoed Arches Hot Pressed Paper... / Anticipation / Prairie Fires / Yesterday / After the Harvest / Prairie Gold / Prairie Night / Prairie Wind / Gale Force

The Australian bush… / Summertime… / An unspeakable tension fills the air. / Watchful eyes turn to clear horizons… / Clouds appear… / The mirage gradually shimmers into reality… / Smoke! A bushfire rages beyond the ridge fanned by a searing west wind. / The Christmas tinsel hung around the porch flutters wildly as if sounding a quiet alarm. / An invisible aura entombs the body… / hot / repressive / heavy / As if pressing you into the very soil below your feet. / Lungs that breathe in smoke, filter out dust. The flag on the gate states proudly the owners are Australians… it suddenly grows still…then, as if bought back to life, it flaps madly in the opposite direction. A fresh wind full of the aromas of the sea, breezes past sweaty faces on its rush to quell the lapping waves of distant flames. Pushed violently back on themselves they peeter almost instantly it seems into a smoldering heap of burnt remains. It is the nature of the land out here…salvation comes when least expected… the welcoming Wind of Change. ~Hollyk “Wind of Change” / Photography, Artwork & Writing / by Holly Kempe © / Sony a100 camera / Photoshop CS4 artwork / Charters Towers, Queensland
