So, I’m out for a bike ride this morning thinking, this wind’s quite strong…..... Got to the Lighthouse at New Brighton to discover I was right! It was a freezing day while River and I were in the nature park. The trees looked cold but stood tall and strong. This is the same image as the first “Winter Blues” after Gigi told me that I should try a darker color for it. So it qualifies as my third try on this “effect thing” thanks to all the instructions and guidance from my “mentor” on this matter! I guess one could say that I love anything that has to do with nature including the living beings, the woods, the trees, the rivers and streams, and the mountains…. In a way, the trees represent longevity even though my “rational mind” knows they don’t live forever – my “passion” towards the trees is in its “illusion” of the ever lasting life, or perhaps what it always gives back to the earth in living or in death. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.

This yellow dory was tied to the wharf for the winter. The boat launch had quite a steep angle to it… you can see the ocean far below, so the dory was secured with these blue ropes.I loved the contrast between the yellow boat and the blue ropes holding it securely. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / laminated print / /

Winded snow on Slide Mnt. I was hiking my way up to poach forbidden powder, so the snow wasn’t the only thing that was winded when I took the shot. :-) Near Reno, NV USA 2006 by Jon Johnson.

This little Spotted Towhee is “Sheltered From The Cold Winter Wind” in this bush at the Kirk Park wildlife Unit in Lane County, Oregon.
I have been waiting for the cold and snow to let up. I gave up and went out to capture the sunshine trying to fight its way to show upon the snow swept fields. The storm of small snow crystals and single digit temps made the drive slow. High winds and others traveling greedy for road space. I then saw the sun eking through the crystal maze of snow. Stop out of the truck in below zero .F temps wind chill. Then some sort of feel took over for the final product .. I hope you enjoy.. / Chuck…
Wow, I finally made something again. I’d been feeling rather uninspired for a while. It’s good to be creating again. / Autumn is my favorite season, I always get excited in the fall, the colors and smells make me feel very nostalgic , this image is celebrating it using my favorite fall colors~ Mother Nature changed her appearance with each season.. Behind her you can see the summer but she wearing already the winter coat…. / This is what I envision that she might look like during Autumn. Created in Photoshop, / many hours… / many layers.. / many details… I hope like her as much as I have grown to… / / / / All Origional art work can be purchased through the artist. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- Copyright notice: / All rights reserved. 19×25 pastel on Sennelier La Carte paper FEATURED IN C.O.R.E., FRIENDS OF RED BUBBLE, FIRST THINGS, THE PATCHWORK, AND THE SISTERHOOD / She has been sitting on my easel for the longest time. I finally got inspired to finish her. I made her a lot bigger than the others in the series, so that should appease her for me taking so long on her. / She is the Spirit of the North Wind. It is the wind of Winter and of death, but also of rebirth. She gives us the wisdom to overcome death and to know it is not the end. We must walk through the Northern gate at the end of this life and she will be the one to usher us through. Listen to cold Winter wind, and let her help you release your fears into the darkness of the night. Also from the Series
