Picture of a small Fallow Deer in the sun
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands. / Douglas Adams Quote Wood Ducks / Wood Ducks —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- It took forever to finally get a closeup shot of him. He was so shy and kept flying across the lake. They were here at the city park during fall migration. They are not tame but truly wild ducks taking a quick break before traveling again. I was amazed to see them at the city lake were people walk all the time because of the fact they normally do not like to be near people. The only other times I have seen them is in more secluded areas and they always flew away before I was even close. I sat very still for over two hours and finally this wood duck drake swam close enough for me to get a great shot of him. I am so thankful for that wonderful day. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Let’s help keep our waterways clean and protected. Foxes are wonderful in my view, although they are accused of many things in the tales. Fortunately when I was a kid, my mom used to tell me tales about ‘good dragons’, wolves and foxes… and taught me to love all creatures:) / Namaste! July 2008 – featured in The Fine Arts group

” ~ For My Friend Byron ~ 11” / / ~ In Loving Memory of your Mother ~ / / The long winter has passed, and it’s such a joy to see the forest come alive with new buds, and the Dogwoods in bloom. I find myself strolling along through the forest gazing at these blossoms as they brighten up the early spring sky. Native Dogwoods are small shrubs varying in size, and height that thrive under Arkansas hardwood forest. The blooms are approx 1 inch in diameter. Blooms in mid-May. / / If you would you like to ADD YOUR OWN WORDS to create a personal sentiment to this as a greeting card, please / Contact Me / I will make it personal from YOU, to YOUR friends. / / FEATURED IN SPRING BLOOMS 1 24 009

Long tailed tit The long-tailed tit is easily recognisable with its distinctive colouring, a tail that is bigger than its body, and undulating flight. Gregarious and noisy residents, long-tailed tits are most usually noticed in small, excitable flocks of about 20 birds. Like most tits, they rove the woods and hedgerows, but are also seen on heaths and commons with suitable bushes. / Where to see them Found across the UK escept for the far north and west of Scotland. They can be seen in woodland, farmland hedgerows, scrubland, parkland and gardens. In winter they form flocks with other tit species. / When to see them All year round / What they eat Insects, occasionally seeds in autumn and winter
If you were to travel a path that only exists in your dreams, it might look like this. The colors are brighter and bolder… and they have more meaning. It may look like there’s only one route you can take, but is there? This work was created with watercolor and pastel on 22×30” paper.
Taken at Cleland Wildlife Park, in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia.
I was playing around with styles at first and kept placing the image through filters for the background. Then I added different photoshop brushes to create my theme and this what I came up with. I love the colors. /
The little one is slipping off the perch. You see, her brother had a hold of the side of the cage. I got several snapshots, from which I drew the picture. This is Peter and Wendy, two of my orphan wildlife babies. They were healthy and fat until their release at the wildlife center at about 3 months of age. The reward for caring for sick and injured wildlife is the chance to raise totally healthy babies. Graphite Pencils from 5-H to 6-B / Primsa Color pencils Burnt Sienna and Burnt Umber / 8×10 inches
