This oil painting was commissioned as a Christmas gift for a wild bird photographer from Florida. When they got the painting they laughingly said this hawk was from the Florida everglades and why did I paint him with forest trees. Not knowing what to say I said; ” Artist are the only ones who can put him anywhere.
