I wasn’t feeling up to doing my Algebra homework one day, so I got in my car and drove. I decided to go to my dad’s house, where there is a respectable amount of beauty. I felt older walking across the grounds that I once romped across as a more energetic kid, slashing a the air with my stick, a weapon that I alone could wield, but then I realized that I still wield a sword that I alone can only use. My identity. Who else could be a better Alexander Evan Brown McNeill than I? Who else could be as knowledgeable as my spirit, which is purely me and all that I believe? And I told myself, Only I can do what is right, because I alone know what is the right thing to do, and I alone have the power to wield a sword. So I went home and did my Algebra.
