The SS Dicky was washed ashore onto Dicky Beach in 1893 during a cyclone. It was re-floated, but again, heavy seas turned the ship about and back onto the sand where it remains to this day. / / The suburb and beach was named after the ship. The beach is an unspoilt stretch of sun-drenched sand, on Queensland’s magnificent Sunshine Coast. Taken with my 5D and 16-35mm lens and I was so lucky to have a nature spectacle as the fog rolled in from West creating a mystic ambience I have also written a photographers guide if you are interested in knowing more about this site
Model – LeEvil Dorothy has a night out on the tiles. / [ I gotta give props to Lee for being willing to lie on the floor of a men’s bathroom for this shot, that girl is dedicated! ] Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

/ . / Please view large photo to appreciate panorama fully / . / This is a panorama taken on the same night of my other photos “Luna Over Luna Park”, ““By Request””, and “Luna Harbours”. The photos were taken in quite quick succession. I attempted to combine the full moon, with the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Luna Park. You might be interested in viewing the other photos because one is in Portrait, two are in Landscape, and this one PANORAMA. It’s amazing how a similar subject can be photographed in slightly different ways, and produce different results. I will interested in knowing which of the four is you favourite !

Looking toward the setting sun… / / “I’ll do my dreaming with my eyes wide open, and I’ll do my looking back with my eyes closed” ~Tony Arata* Very kind thanks to Ari fellow bubbler who gave the wise words to compliment this image. Thank you for your inspirational gift. Model Amelia / Central West Slopes & Plains at sunset / Canon 50D / Canon EF 28-135mm Thank you for looking.
Another shot at Point Lonsdale, Australia. The colours only lasted a moment, fired as many shots as i could in the hope that one would turn out well. / I often hear people say ‘yeah, but its photoshopped’. While i’ve had to adjust brightness and contrast on a computer, the colours come from shooting at the right time.
