  • Thanks Phil Lynott, for the inspiration. Dancing in the moonlight, / It’s caught me in its spotlight, / On the long hot summer night. _“Dancing in the Moonlight” is the title song on the 1973 King Harvest album. The track was released as a single and it reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. They released other singles but these were never able to match the success of “Dancing in the Moonlight”. The track used a Wurlitzer electric piano thoroughout. The song was written in 1968 by Sherman Kelly, whose brother, Wells Kelly – King Harvest’s drummer in the early 1970s – introduced the song to the band. It was originally recorded in 1970 by the American band, Boffalongo. Wells Kelly was also the original drummer for Orleans. King Harvest recorded and released Dancing in the Moonlight as a 45 rpm single, with Lady, Come Home to Me on the B side, while the band was based in Paris. Steve Cutler, a jazz drummer from New York City played drums on the tracks and toured with the band in France and England. The group disbanded after six months and the single languished for a year until it was bought and released worldwide by Perception records. A cover version was released in the UK in 1973 by singing and dancing act Young Generation, but despite heavy airplay, failed to chart. The song’s first line, “We get it on most every night” is often misheard as “We get it almost every night” Thin Lizzy’s 1977 UK single release – “Dancin’ In The Moonlight (It’s Caught Me In Its Spotlight)” should not be confused with the King Harvest song, as it is a completely different track._

  • That sneaking desire to own the latest of anything and everything, even though there’s nowt wrong with the old one? Or that you don’t even need it to begin with, except so you can say you have it. / It’s all the fault of Miss Paris Hilton. FACT it’s possible there are other forces at work too, but there’s only so much room on a tee, you know how it is. Read all about the inspiration here See the rest of this range

  • A COLLABORATION WITH LINAJI / (Thank you very much for your excellent poem) Where Do You Love From…Really / Author: linaji Where Do You Love From? / Your pink painted toes? / Or the hollow of your sighs / As my tongue journeys unabashedly / Down the silk trails of your thighs Does my latent life scream Onlyness? / Echo Eons from the heart / Where do you / Love from / Live From / Darling / When do we ever start? History has changed much / Now that Eve did eat the snake, / She brought about apples only / For mother’s pie in Adam’s wake Where do you Love from / Really? / The marrow of your bones? / Is longing, loving and living here / A pirates chest of stones? What about your fingertips? / Dipping softly into my flesh, / Do I utter sighs with beggars eyes / Or do I let our two lips mesh? Do you feel from what is stillness / A time when lovers care, / Do you ooze the sweet-laced vapors? / That my focus on you dares, That moan / That cry / That primal stare / That leads me inside you / Elusive hips that ride your smile / And worlds outside the Que. / A passions mist that takes our lips / A fog beyond compare, / I lay here spent with one leg bent / And dream with you I dare.. Now,, Where do you Love from,,,, / Really. FROM PARIS SERIES: / UNE FEMME PENSIVE / GLAMOUR / / BELLE PARISIENNE / / CHARLESTON / / / BELLE DE JOUR / / / FEMME EN BLEU /

  • I’m the newest fan of the watchmen. It’s amazing how some things go by unnoticed. Then one day you stumble across them and discover how freaking awesome they are. In celebration i made myself a shirt to wear with a quote from Rorschach. “Watchmen are over. What do you suggest we do about it?” / “Retribution.” If you are looking for a shirt to buy, i would recommend one made by someone who actually has talent such as this guy. Or a better version of the plain silhouette here. Watchmen 2009 movie trailer. Info about the movie on IMDB. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Sterling2 with post work in PSP. Elton John – Goodbye Yellow Brick Road / I liked this video, love The Muppets! :o) But the lyrics to this bring to mind Helen Bascom’s post this morning titled ‘Death Machine’ When are you gonna come down / When are you going to land / I should have stayed on the farm / I should have listened to my old man You know you can’t hold me forever / I didn’t sign up with you / I’m not a present for your friends to open / This boy’s too young to be singing the blues So goodbye yellow brick road / Where the dogs of society howl / You can’t plant me in your penthouse / I’m going back to my plough Back to the howling old owl in the woods / Hunting the horny back toad / Oh I’ve finally decided my future lies / Beyond the yellow brick road What do you think you’ll do then / I bet that’ll shoot down your plane / It’ll take you a couple of vodka and tonics / To set you on your feet again Maybe you’ll get a replacement / There’s plenty like me to be found / Mongrels who ain’t got a penny / Sniffing for tidbits like you on the ground
