All are waiting for the other to make the first move. Fear stops them, and fear can make them start.
A piece rather dear to me, part of a set of two.

I knew I couldn’t come back from Egypt without a shot of the Pyramids and a shot of the Sphinx, so I thought I’d save space and take them both in the same shot. A fair bit of experimentation has taken place in the processing department with a few new techniques I’ve trialled, so feel free to tell me its crap if you don’t like it.
9×12 colored pencil. Original available. Just one of those things, I guess. Complete 1999

I will donate 50% of my profit from any sale to Cancer Research. See my profile for more information. I am certain you have already identified this owl as being a young Snowy Owl, as there are many images on redbubble. Normally this owl is a big round ball of white fluff, except in this shot, something disturbed her, so he made himself look half size. Owl theory is such, that if I make myself slimmer, no one can see me. OOkkkaaay The snowy owl is normally at home in the frozen tundra and have been known to fly as far south as the Shetland islands of the cast of Scotland. She appears to be about the size of an eagle owl, but in fact the bulk of her body is made up of feathers to protect her against the icy cold conditions of the tundra. It has been known it can survive temperatures to below 62C. Its cry reminds me of an owl with laryngitis. The male is almost all white the female has small black markings, while the youngsters have a strong black and white markings, with fluffly white slippers. / I can go on and on about this little fellow, but in fear of this becoming a Journal, I stop now and give more information , for those that are interested on another image about this amazing white fluff ball

yeah I know …. the Caterpillar in the story was male….. but I always thought it should have been a woman …and I’m sure Lewis Carroll wouldn’t approve of my adaptation :) and I’m even more sure Tm Burton won’t be making any last minute casting changes based on my interpretation of this minor story character …lol , but I think I’m happy with the result anyway Metamorphasis of the Caterpillar /
Another festive frivolity. The orchid is Cymbidium “champagne cocktail”; appropriate for the New Year celebration! This image is part of my “Astonishing Orchids” calendar. Please visit my profile and take a look.

There is much in my work about hurt or even death and dying – these are issues that tie in closely with the themes I am in the early stages of investigating through my visual imagery work in the long term. But this image of the poor little European wasp came about in this way purely through the chance finding him/her dead in this curled-up pose, yet with the beautiful wings so wonderfully whole and unharmed, on the floor in the corner of my room… Sony Alpha 350, Sony 100mm Macro Lens, Focal Length 100mm. FEATURED IN ‘AVANT-GARDE’! FEATURED IN ‘OUTSIDERS’! Companion image to ‘Sometimes It Can Be Too Hard…’ BOTH IMAGES FEATURED IN ‘SETS OF TWO’! / Edited Version.

Rooaarrrr… That’s not me being hostile, I’m just saying hello! Some may think I’m a fighter – aggressive and dangerous – but in truth I’m a gentle creature. There’s nothing like a peaceful afternoon enjoying a few drops of tropical rain and hanging out with the band. I love it too when the sun goes down, and its time for me to curl up in my cosy nest for a wee snooze. Feel free to throw me a few leaves and seeds. Oh, and the odd termite or two won’t go astray! Thanks chumps.
