RedBubble is an awesome community of people from around the world. The collective goodwill that I see every day on RedBubble fills me with hope for humanity. And I think it’s important that we strive to recognize those folks who really make this community the supportive and fun place it is. To this end Jo is running an awards event over here to help identify the most helpful bubbler. So I encourage you to check out the nominees (below) and cast your vote. Speaking of awards, RedBubble is proud to have received two “Cool Company” awards last night. The Cool Company awards are run by Anthill Magazine / to ‘celebrate organisations that are doing things differently or defying convention to bring about positive change’. We love the guys at Anthill and what they stand for (supporting innovation, entrepreneurship and people having a go) so it was a great honour to receive an ‘X-factor’ and ‘Internet’ award last night – on behalf of the 84,515 members of RedBubble. Judges will consider the novelty and/or innovative nature of the business model in the Australian marketplace.

Despite having been working here for a while, I’ve only now been given some responsibilities. This is partly due to the nature of things I suppose, and also because the day I started all the biscuits disappeared from the staff kitchen. It had absolutely nothing to do with me, but nonetheless my reputation was held into question. Anyway, everyone seems to have forgotten now, and they’ve put me in charge of a few things, so if you’re keen to find out about such excitements as Buyer’s Booth winners then you may want to keep an eye on me.
