Built around 1815 this church in the hills of Chimayo, New Mexico, is considered a masterpiece of colonial folk art and architecture and has been deemed a National Historic Landmark. Famed for its miraculous cross and the healing powers of the soil, the Prayer Room is filled with candles, cards & crude hand made shrines as well as crutches and braces testifying to miracles. Directly across the road they sell the best chili powder money can buy.

This old wooden fence was taken in the Adelaide Hills, Oakbank, South Australia, Australia. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera. I recently made a sale on redbubble with this shot. I sold a medium laminated print in white with artist’s details to a dear friend, Natz, in the UK. Many thanks Natz.

For some reason this reminds me of a scene from Moby Dick… minus the whale of course. / / I was actually going Cod fishing with some friends for the first time off the Eastern coast of Newfoundland…. just had to bring the camera of course. Those clouds on the horizon kicked up such a fierce wind and it created some very large swells that relieved me of my lunch lol! So we were on another of our photo hunts… my husband, our best friend and me. We peeked into a teetering old barn, and there were chairs set up in it. We left them as is…. and snapped our photos. I couldn’t help but wonder what they had been placed there for. This was just one of them.
