Black-shouldered Kite (elanus axillaris). I have spent many rewarding and challenging / hours in the great outdoors finding and / photographing some of Australia’s wonderful wildlife. / Here I present a piece featuring a beautiful bird / of prey: the Black-shouldered Kite. I find it a striking bird with its snowy white / feathers and intense amber/orange eyes. / On a couple of occasions I have been able / to get close views of them in the wild. we were out for a walk on the quayside in Newcastle and the gulls were going crazy, managed to get this one catching a piece of bread and even managed to get half the tyne bridge in !!!! lucky or what :-)

This is my first photomanipulation I have done in years. I figured I would go with something simple. Brushes: hair, wings, flowers, photo texture.
