  • Joy Ride
    by Jake Easley

    US$5.27–US$140.60

Another self portrait. Ya…I’m desperate for models. / Took a little work to mount the camera in the dash and eliminate any shake for the multiple exposure. A freshly paved road also helped! / If you can’t laugh at yourself…who can you laugh at? I meant to add this and forgot. This was my inspiration… My pappy said “Son your gonna drive me to drinkin’ / If you don’t stop driving that hot rod Lincoln” Have you heard the story of the hot rod race / Where the Fords and the Lincolns were setting the pace? / Well that story is true cause I’m here to say / I was driving that model A. It’s got a Lincoln motor and its really souped up / And that model A body makes it look like a pup / It’s got eight cylinders, uses them all / It’s got overdrive, just won’t stall It’s got a four barrel carb, and dual exhaust / With foureleven gears you can really get lost. / It’s got safety tubes, but I ain’t scared / Breaks are good, tires fair Pullin out of San Pedro late one night / With the moon and the stars just shinin bright / We was headed up grapevine Hill / Passing cars like they was standing still All of a sudden, in the wink of an eye / A Cadillac sedan passed us by / I said “Boys this ones marked for me” / But by then the tail lights was all you could see Now the fellas rid me for being behind / So I thought I’d let that Lincoln unwind / Took my foot of the gas and man alive / I shoved it on down into over drive Wound it up to 110 / My speedometer said I hit top end / My foot was glued like lead to the floor / That’s all there is, and there ain’t no more Now the boys all thought that I’d lost my sense / Those telephone poles looked like a picket fence / They said “Slow down, I see spots!” / The lines on the road just looked like dots Took a corner, side swiped a truck / Crossed my fingers just for luck / My fenders was clicking the guard rail post / The guy beside me was white as a ghost We had smoke coming from out of the back / When I started gainin on that Cadillac / I knew I could catch him, I thought I could pass / But don’t you know by then we’d be low on gas I had flames coming from out of the side / Feel the tension, man what a ride / I said “Look out boys, I’ve got a license to fly” / And that Caddy pulled over and let us by All of the sudden she started knocking / Down in the dips she started rocking / I looked in the mirror. Red lights were blinking / The cops was after my Hot Rod Lincoln – Damn The arrested me and they put me in jail / Called my pappy to throw my bail / And he said “Son, you’re going to drive me to drinkin’ / If you don’t stop driving that Hot Rod Lincoln” *lyrics by All

To AD ME to your WATCHLIST click BAMBI Icon. / It took lots of patience to get this photo…This butterfly blends so well with nature it is hard to be spoted…..ofcourse patience is a must when photographing wild nature…rarely seen….unique species / Greta oto is a brush-footed butterfly, and is a member of the clearwing clade; its wings are transparent. Its most common English name is glasswing, and its Spanish name is espejitos, which means “little mirrors.” Indeed, the tissue between the veins of its wings looks like glass. It is one of the more abundant clearwing species in its home range, which extends throughout Central America into Mexico. The opaque borders of its wings are dark brown sometimes tinted with red or orange, and its body is dark in color. Its wingspan is between 5.5 and 6 cm. Adults inhabit the rainforest understory and feed on the nectar of a variety of tropical flowers. G. oto prefers to lay its eggs on plants of the tropical nightshade genus Cestrum. The silvery-gray caterpillars feed on these toxic plants and store the alkaloids in their tissues, making them distasteful to predators such as birds. They retain their toxicity in adulthood. The same alkaloids that make them poisonous also are converted into pheromones by the males, which use them to attract females. • Tag Team
    by ECGardner

    US$3.85–US$102.60

Usually a tag team like this isn’t really fair, but somehow I think that Mama Tiger can handle herself with these two. :) It’s nice to see tiger breeding programs in action, as tigers are on the critically endangered list. Unfortunately, these beautiful animals are the white bengal variant, which is not found naturally in the wild and is a product of the white tiger breeding trade. These beautiful and innocent tiger cubs were not bred by the zoo; rather, the mother tiger was rescued from a breeder and she was already pregnant when the zoo rescued her. In fact, the American Zoological Association prohibits its members from acquiring and breeding white tigers because the rate of genetic defects is high and the white tiger trade engages in terribly unethical practices. Click to see all of my tiger photos. 100% of the profits from the sale of this image will be donated to Big Cat Rescue.

Gallery 1 / Gallery 2 / Gallery 3 / Gallery 4 / Gallery 5 / Gallery 6 Again I was so lucky to be there at that giving moment, I always wanted to take this kind of photo , I see this one as one of my best , the funny thing is I did not want to go out that day to take photos , I must say thank you to my best friend who took me out for a drive in the desert. see full screen for best viewing. The image won 41 awards , and the hall of fame on eyefetch.com for better viewing See it in ” View larger” / —-—-—-—-—-—- / Lianne / wrote an amazing poem about the desert that I love alot … / please visit her page for more amazing work of hers. / -—-—-—-—-—-— Desert Wanderings Are the rare oases enough to / sustain the desert nomad? / And where is the desert boundary – / would the journeyman perceive / its end, or like me, see Canaan / and think it only temporary respite – / can he see beauty where I see none, / sculpture where I see sand – / has he more praise for palm trees / than I for all of Canaan’s promise? Deserts are but dry expanses of the mind / the hypochondria boredom breeds, / unirrigated months, parched and barren / where there is naught to slake one’s thirst / and coolness only stones beneath one’s tongue, / monotonous thoughtscapes, uninspired / wishing for rivers, never neared mirages / and longings so undefined / that even prayer is sterile. • A Thought, A Dream
    by Alex Worsley

    US$3.42–US$91.20

In a place as surreal as this, its hard not to day dream. This was taken at an ancient, monastery which was destroyed by Henry the eighth once upon a time. Sort of represents what i was feeling at this time, not this exact moment but this part of my life. Stopping for a second, trying to figure out where wanted to go, how i would get there. Taking a brief moment to reflect.

  • "1989"
    by Birgitta

    US$3.56–US$95.00

This is exactly how it looked in 1989. The ivy stays here year round. It’s weird, because it’s barren outside; winter. But when you step inside (which isn’t hard..you simply step through the wall) it looks like a summer day. Very odd & surreal feeling. Taken last week, standing in the basement looking up at the back door. More from the abandoned farmhouse series soon. :) And Happy New Year everyone!! / It’s 8:37 p.m. here. I get the feeling I’m the last sober one around here.(not for long…ha.) / / >featured< / / More from this series: / / Welcome Home / Tattered And Torn / Wild Horses / Watch Your Step / I Remember You / / /

  • Carousel
    by Deborah Parkin

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This is part of a series i have put together. I am growing ever fascinated with childhood, their thoughts and in particular children’s literature, art and so-called amusement – there is always an intense darkness about it – so i have tried to create dark images visually and psychologically – i didn’t ask Abe to pose but was pleased his head was turned because now i hope we look through him and discover our own thoughts (Hope that makes sense to you).

  • The Enchanted Forest
    by Deborah Parkin

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This was a beautiful place to be – when the children were there is became magical – every door opened wasn’t a garden it was the secret garden and we had to look for lepricorns and fairies and smell every flower and describe every tree.
