This was taken at Swansea, Newcastle NSW, Australia. The water around this place is absolutley amazing – the most beautiful blues I have ever seen…unfortunately not so good for capturing in IR…but I managed to get the sky to turn out like the colour of the water. Honestly, that’s the colour of the water. / / / / / / / / / / /

This photo was taken about 5km’s around the lake from where I took The Sky Is Broken . These two shots were taken on different days in opposite weather conditions, yet, the sky still came out the same. If you are familiar with IR, you will know how rare it is for 2 pictures to turn out the same…even pictures taken a couple of minutes apart can be different so it is really quite strange that these are so simialr…Wonder what’s going on in the sky there??? / / / / / SOLD: 1 Large Framed Print (Jan 2008?) / / / / /

Also posted at: messa.deviantart.com Listened to Jordan Sparks’ song “No Air” when working on this, so I guess it was a huge source of inspiration.

Taken at sunset while people were bringing there boats back up the launch ramp and preparing to head home. Taken at Swan Bay in Queenscliff, Victoria, Australia. The conditions were terrific, no wind and the water was dead calm. HDR from 3 exposures in Photomatix, and did some minor changes in Lightroom.

Mid summer as the sun met the horizon a close up of the sun with whispy clouds gathered around in the night sky. It looked mysterious to me.

Just before sunset at the Roaches Staffordshire UK. Staffordshire gets a bit of a raw deal sometimes as most folk think of the Peak District as being Derbyshire bound.

An image made when I was fiddling around the fractalius filter in photoshop. / Based on my work Through the Open Gate I think the effect here is particularly spectacular, as it both blurs and sharpened the image, beautifully. I still love this filter! Especially the gate, which now looks almost knotted… Almost dreamlike in appearance, almost real, but not quite… / Well, that’s what I think. / And I’m sure it would make a BEAUTIFUL card or maybe a lovely print to go on a spare bit of wall space. You know it would.
