Probably my last upload for a couple of days due to family committments….. / Enjoy…. / / Title is again inspired by Frank Zappa and yep….it’s infrared. / / /
This photo was taken about 5km’s around the lake from where I took The Sky Is Broken . These two shots were taken on different days in opposite weather conditions, yet, the sky still came out the same. If you are familiar with IR, you will know how rare it is for 2 pictures to turn out the same…even pictures taken a couple of minutes apart can be different so it is really quite strange that these are so simialr…Wonder what’s going on in the sky there??? / / / / / SOLD: 1 Large Framed Print (Jan 2008?) / / / / /
This was taken at Swansea, Newcastle NSW, Australia. The water around this place is absolutley amazing – the most beautiful blues I have ever seen…unfortunately not so good for capturing in IR…but I managed to get the sky to turn out like the colour of the water. Honestly, that’s the colour of the water. / / / / / / / / / / /

The ring is on my hand, And the wreath is on my brow; / Satin and jewels grand Are all at my command, / And I am happy now. And my lord he loves me well; But, when first he breathed his vow, / I felt my bosom swell- For the words rang as a knell, / And the voice seemed his who fell In the battle down the dell, / And who is happy now. But he spoke to re-assure me, And he kissed my pallid brow, / While a reverie came o’er me, And to the church-yard bore me, / And I sighed to him before me, Thinking him dead D’Elormie, / “Oh, I am happy now!” And thus the words were spoken, And this the plighted vow, / And, though my faith be broken, And, though my heart be broken, / Here is a ring, as token / That I am happy now! Would God I could awaken! For I dream I know not how! / And my soul is sorely shaken Lest an evil step be taken,- / Lest the dead who is forsaken / May not be happy now. ... Also posted at: messa.deviantart.com Listened to Jordan Sparks’ song “No Air” when working on this, so I guess it was a huge source of inspiration.
Taken at sunset while people were bringing there boats back up the launch ramp and preparing to head home. Taken at Swan Bay in Queenscliff, Victoria, Australia. The conditions were terrific, no wind and the water was dead calm. HDR from 3 exposures in Photomatix, and did some minor changes in Lightroom. Click here for my other seascapes

An image of much color, that I processed to highlight the beauty of the details in the grass and trees. I love love love Florida.. but, they have got to stop developing !.when I hear this song.. it send shivers down my spine.. . The Song / The Seminoles began the 20th century where / they had been left at the conclusion of the Seminole / Wars – in abject poverty, hiding out in remote / camps in the wet wilderness areas of South Florida. sEMINOLE wIND sung by John Anderson *Ever since the days of old, / Men would search for wealth untold. / They’d dig for silver and for gold, / And leave the empty holes. / And way down south in the Everglades, / Where the black water rolls and the saw grass waves. / The eagles fly and the otters play, / In the land of the Seminole. So blow, blow Seminole wind, / Blow like you’re never gonna blow again. / I’m calling to you like a long lost friend, / But I know who you are. / And blow, blow from the Okeechobee, / All the way up to Micanopy. / Blow across the home of the Seminole, / The alligators and the garr. Progress came and took its toll, / And in the name of flood control, / They made their plans and they drained the land, / Now the glades are going dry. / And the last time I walked in the swamp, / I sat upon a Cypress stump, / I listened close and I heard the ghost, / Of Osceola cry. So blow, blow Seminole wind, / Blow like you’re never gonna blow again. / I’m calling to you like a long lost friend / But I know who you are. / And blow, blow from the Okeechobee, / All the way up to Micanopy. / Blow across the home of the Seminole, / The alligators and the garr. *
This was a difficult shot. After this wave the tripod the camera was on was in about 15cm of water. My shorts were wet. The tide rush up to the rock I was sitting on. The lens filter was covered in mist. I had wrapped the camera up in plastic bags, and my feet were freezing from being in and out of the water. The mist on the camera filter made it look like a painting. taken with a canon 450D wrapped up in plastic at West Beach, with Glenelg on the horizon. A cropped 1:1 version; /
As I was waiting for the sun to set I couldn’t resist but take some shots of the reflections in the large rock pools near the point. The sunset ended up being quite average on this occasion so these shots are all I really came home with. The white clutter under the beacon is a large flock of seagulls. Taken with a Canon 400D with ND4 grad and circular polarising filters. Exposure was 8 seconds @ f22. Click here for my other seascapes
