  • This picture depicts a young dancer gazing into the sky. Just beyond her is a forest. The halo around her torso accentuates her womb and she seems to be yearning for a baby.

  • Lily loves birds, but you already guessed that, right? These are three of her darling bluebird friends, helping her with her hair. Actually two of them are helping and one is having a little rest (lazy bugger). ..................................♥ the fine print ♥…................................ • A beautiful image created for our Journal for the Pregnant Goddess! This journal is your very own guide to a joyful and positive birthing experience no matter how it should unfold… a must for every woman starting a family or recovering from a negative birthing experience… to check it out, please visit www.journalsforempowerment.com For women entering into motherhood it is one of the greatest transitions of all time! It is her vision quest. Take a moment to acknowledge this change… this moment of metamorphisis… when you reach the other side, you will be stronger, wiser and richer. Before motherhood, I thought I was so humble, compassionate and loving and kind… but in truth, I had not been tested yet. I am happy to say, that 4 years and 2 kids later, I am still on a very steep learning curve of patience, selflesness, compassion, understanding… but I know that I am way ahead on the chart than I was before I had kids. / Motherhood is the most unrelenting and beautiful teacher that gives the best perks.

  • For sjem – Little mister needs nappy noos coz he’s all gwumpy whumpy. Oddly, I was listening to X.Y.U. by the Smashing Pumpkins whilst scribbling out this. Just an inconsequential notation. La! Check it out! /

  • Acrylic on Canvas Also available at Zazzle.com as a mug and an apron.

  • Rosie was based on a picture of Zooey Deschanel – she was doing that super-flirty “batter your eyelids while glancing over your shoulder” pose. I adore the roses and peonies that surround her…and the little extra adornment that most people don’t notice. ;) ..................................♥ the fine print ♥…................................ • This started off as a sketch for my Wonderland artwork series (it was going to be Alice and the Caterpillar- but the caterpillar gradually morphed into this dragon and I felt like doing a primarily pen-and-ink work this time around. So Alice was put on the backburner for a little bit and instead we have a little girl and her dragon friend set against a silver sky with a blue moon. One only knows what they could be talking about….. Original artwork measures 12.5×19 inches approx. and is for sale (email redeye@designbyredeye.com to inquire). Medium is primarily pen and ink, with some silver sharpie and blue marker in the background. On sky blue Canson Mi-Tientes acid-free art paper. View more of my artwork at lynnetteshelley.com

  • I have created this for the Winter Whimsy Challenge which is in the enchanting Animal Fantasy and Whimsy Group. The challenge called for a creative portrayal of animals in the winter. I have so enjoyed creating this one. Whenever I make composites of animals it always makes me smile and feel incredibly happy. I chose the polar bears because I thought it would be fun to try and develop an image using largely white as the dominant colour (and I also thought that we would be seeing a great many reindeers in the coming month!) The image was created totally in Photoshop CS4. The background was my own photo. I am grateful to the artists who made the bears available. / Bears / Bears The beautiful music is Hayley Westenra singing Winter’s Dream ! / MCN :: CNNST-QBFU5-UBQCL
