An abandoned ermitage in the middle of the fields. My favourite place to be :) / Quite near to the hills of “Spring II”. Hope you enjoy it! Details / Olympus E400 + 14-42 mm / HDR postprocessing

In earlier times vases were only used to hold liquids, store grains, preserve the ashes of the dead, decorate gardens, hold cutlery … / Today the primary use of vases is to display flowers, and the vase itself became a decorative art medium. / With its simple shape and its warm russet colors of an autumn sunset, this piece brings warmth and sophistication to any surrounding! Mounted Print /
Taken on the way to Port Elliot. Surrounded by farms and sheep.

I thought I would be able to move on to spring flowers, or at least something less wintry, but winter doesn’t want to let go of Colorado, not yet. We’re having a major blizzard here right now, and it will probably look like this at the fox hole this weekend again. This picture was taken on March 28, 2009, in the greenbelt area in Wheat Ridge, Colorado / Nikon D80, 70-300 mm lens / f/7.1, 1/640 sec, ISO 400, focal length 300 mm

We spotted the tips of this fawn’s ears when he was laying in the wheat. When this little guy realized we had spotted him, he jumped up and ran, waving his flag as he went! He was south of Simms, Montana, near Crown Butte, when we found him. Nikon D300 / hand held / 70-300 mm lens / Fence removed from center of photo, just above fawn’s head. Took this photo in evening, adjusted contrast and lighting. / Photoshop Elements 7

Hay Bales East Sussex UK / As I was heading towards the coast on the A27, I noticed this wonderful large fied full of amazing shredded wheat, so I just had to stop and take a few snaps. Little did I know that stop would take an hour and a half of shooting:-) Getting into the field was a bit of a lark too:0). Camera Nikon D700 with 24-120mm Lense /
