Had the idea for this from a cross stitch pattern my mum was working on. Simple photoshop layers process but I like it. Hope you like it too.

by Lois BryanFeatured in Rural Around The Globe January 6, 2009. I’ve stopped and snapped this wonderful barn, located near Everett along route 30 in Pennsylvania, more than once. Still haven’t quite captured its essence … but I’m working on it!! This image was taken on Saturday, Janury 3, 2009, with the Nikon D40x using the Nikkor 18-200mm lens with the cp filter. It has been put thru HDR with PhotoMatix, then tinkered around with a bit in PhotoShop. Obsidian Dawn

Spring break for my kids is over, and it seems like winter is, too. That was one snowy spring break. Not as bad as the blizzard in -03, when we couldn’t get anywhere for a few days. But plenty of snow on the ground. That provides a nice background for the red foxes, especially in the early mornings. I like the combination of red fur and blue looking snow. / Nikon D80, 70-300 mm lens / f/5.6, 1/400 sec, ISO 800, focal length 300 mm

Poppys in a Wheat Field Was captured in East Sussex, UK. Camera Nikon D700 with 24-120mm Lense. After dropping my son Joe and his fieancee Michelle at Gatwick Airport, I decided instead of heading back to London, I’d head for the coast once again. However, on the way, I spotted a lovely high hill and decided to make a quick detour to see if there were any high sweeping views of the Sussex Downs to capture. What attracted my attention though was simply a few poppies in a field of wheat. The rest is history:-) After taking a few shots of the poppies I headed off again towards, Birling Gap on the East Sussex coast. /
