Hello! We’re thinking about updating the ‘show work’ page (below) and as we were discussing this page today we asked ourselves a couple of interesting questions. - Why do we create art? / - Why do we like to look at art? They’re such fundamental questions that I think we often overlook them. Here were some of our thoughts: Why do we look at art? / - For a sense of beauty / - To be uplifted / - To help me see the world through the eyes of others / - To give me something to talk about so that I can connect with others / - To help me tell my own story by allowing me to identify with objects and messages that represent me Why do we create art? / - Because it’s part of our nature. Just as the desire to share, communicate and connect are part of our nature. Humans are inherently creative … it’s one of our defining characteristics. What do you think?
