Chesil Beach is located on the south coast of England in the county of Dorset. It is a pebble beach 18 miles long and stretches north-west from Portland to West Bay. For much of its length it is separated from the mainland by an area of saline water called the Fleet Lagoon.

This is the very rare Bucketious Treeious, it can be found only by the coast, where they grow close to the beach, the “buckets” as they are known bloom in the summer months and in the winter they fill up with water and leaves to sustain it during the lean months, until the spring, when the cycle starts over

I spent an unexpected and very windy afternoon on the beach today. Weymouth lies on the south coast of England, in the county of Dorset. It is a quintessential English seaside town, full of colour and noise, hotdogs and ice cream, buckets and spades, and people of all ages. Weymouth will host the sailing competitions in the Olympics 2012.

copyright 2008 Forest Friends Photography This stunning capture was taken at a Motocross Beach Race in 2006. It was my first ever Motorsport Event, and some of the pictures caught were great due to the effect & spray of the sand. I did go home with half of the beach on me that day, but thoroughly enjoyed myself.

It was also televised for local television & only a handful of photographers were allowed down on the beach to get close ups.
