Gateway to the West of Melbourne. I lived on the wrong side of the Yarra and Maribyrnong while going to Uni many, many, many years ago back when Willie Beach was somewhere you went to get beaten up. Original was a Conte Crayon Drawing which now proudly hangs in Mum’s hall way. Early work of mine.

An ode to my local golf course colloquially referred to as ‘The Toxic Nine’. A nickname like this deserves to be put on a tee. The course runs under the Westgate Bridge, Melbourne in a very industrial area. We call it ‘Golf: Westie Style’.

Westgate Bridge spans the Yarra river to enable connection between the southern part of Melbourne and Western parts of Melbourne. The main harbour for Melbourne is upstream of the bridge and it therefore stands tall over the river and its surroundings. It was constructed before road transport took off in Victoria and is now a bottleneck on the traffic. This particular evening (a Sunday) it was not even crawling, but stopping and starting for hours.
