    FIRST TIME PUBLISHED Watch this />http://www.ingetjetadros.comWhen I looked outside my restaurant in Broome I saw two cowboyheads sitting on the tables outside and I had a strong urge to make some photo’s. I spook to the two men they where from Fitzroy Crossing. They where watching a crowd of Indeginous Aboriginal men and women ‘hanging’ outside in the Plaza. They where waiting for the local liquorshop to open, In Fitzroy is now a ‘ban’ on alcohol, they told me, so Fitzroy Crossing is now a ‘dry’ Community Miss. / Broome, Western Australia. / Today I received an email stating; CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR IMAGE ‘TYPAN’ is one of 55 images from the PEOPLE & PLANET International Photo Competition. to be published in the 2009 People&Planet; Social Justice & Enviroment Diary, which will be published this month in Australia (2009). / We thought that your image was incredible, and it won from a pool of OVER 1000 images from 316 photographers from around the World! / All funds raised by the People&Planet diary go to Australia’s small non profit organisations which are working to promote social-justice and environmental substainability around the world. / / watched 802 times 7-11-09

  • This is a pastel painting of a young Native American girl that I saw at a pow wow in SW Oregon. I thought she was beautiful. Her rosy cheeks were the color of her red velvet dress. Her Grandmother gave me permission to paint her. I hope you enjoy it!

  • I was lucky to take my camera this morning when we went walking our dog. I normally don’t bother as I am usually rushing quick to get ready and out for work. However today being Sunday we could take our time and my wife suggested that I brought it as she saw the first glimpes of pink in the morning sky. We reached the road down by the lake (Joondalup Lake) and the dawn sky was alive and vibrant… an amazing sunrise….

  • Nina is one of only two remaining wild born Western Lowland gorillas at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. She is a grand old lady somewhere between 40 and 50 years old and she is wonderful! She has a fantastic sense of humor. She will sit looking so stoic for a while, then all of a sudden she will stick her tongue out and make faces! I just adore her! The Western Lowland Gorilla is a subspecies of the Western Gorilla that lives in montane, primary, and secondary forests and lowland swamps in Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. Adult male Gorillas are prone to cardiomyopathy, a degenerative heart disease. Babec, a Western Lowland Gorilla on exhibit at the Birmingham Zoo in Birmingham, Alabama (USA) was the first gorilla to receive an artificial pacemaker. Binti Jua, who resides at Brookfield Zoo in Illinois, saved a three year old boy who fell into her enclosure in 2003. / The Western Lowland Gorilla is critically endangered.   • Oil painting on board. 38cms x 50cms. The inspiration for this painting came from a very old black and white photo of a beautiful Native American woman. I was drawn to the dignity and quiet strength of the image. After doing much research, I decided which colours, clothing, background, etc. would best describe what I wanted to say in this painting…...a tribute to the strength of character of the Native American Woman. I hope I’ve succeeded. / Featured…..... Ethnic Art group; The Wild West Show;
