A doodle that looked rad. Why not make it a tee shirt?
This started out as a simple logo tee to promote my art site. Obviously, it went downhill from there. Still, it looks pretty bitchin’.
A logo tee that’s been put through serious distress. Now with 30% more meticulously-placed splatters! Fine print: Product may not meet certain standards for cleanliness. Product may not actually possess grunge effects at levels deemed acceptable by design professionals. Women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant should not wear this shirt. Persons without a sense of humor should refrain from handling this shirt, as a possibly fatal allergic reaction may occur. This shirt is only approved for recreational use by persons of 18 years and older. Side effects are numerous and cannot be listed in the space provided. Please refer to secretworm dot com for further guidance.
This was a doodle, which became an Illustrator experiment, which became a tee-shirt. Suh-weet! This is also a cheeky jab at all the hipster boys out there. Your hair’s purty! And for the record, I don’t actually know anyone named Emil.
I designed this shirt after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down DC’s long-standing ban on handguns. The ban was considered a triumph in reducing violent crime in a city that at the time was known as the “Murder Capital of the United States”. With the handgun ban gone, I feel less safe than before. Thanks SCOTUS!
Maybe the van is exploding. Maybe it isn’t. Maybe it’s meant as a metaphor for the self-destructive nature of a culture addicted to fossil fuels. Maybe it’s not. Maybe the red is intended to be a blood-for-oil statement. Or maybe not. This is what playing around with vectors (and paint splatters I turned into vectors) looks like. Enjoy.
More of the same, but with a different color palette. Maybe it looks a little less angry with the lighter colors. Maybe it doesn’t.
Though I’m sure more women will buy this than men, it’d be pretty bitchin’ to see some guy wearing this shirt. Feminist guys are almost always hot, in part by virtue of their honoring and loving the women in their lives. I won’t hold my breath though.
*but I flip 4 the right guy. A shirt made with the boys who date boys in mind. I don’t see nothin’ wrong with a little bump n’ grind.
Washington, DC is my adopted home town. How could I not give it some love?
Pretty straightforward, I think.
Easy like Sunday morning.
