  • Hume Weir
    by David Haviland

    US$5.82–US$133.00

This is the Hume Weir taken from Huon Reserve on the way out to Tallangata. Although the weir is currently at 18% and in a better position then the last couple of years the situation is still quite dire for a lot of the country and farmers.

  • Entwined
    by David Haviland

    US$5.82–US$133.00

Taken at Hume Weir, Albury Australia. Although we have had some rain of late the weir is still very low due to the drought. There are still plenty of dead trees sticking out of the water. The tangled/entwined appearance of this tree got me thinking about how all the elements are linked/entwined.

A Brief History of the Royal National Park Sydney / The Royal National Park on the southern border of Sydney, New South Wales Australia, is Australia’s first National Park and after Yellowstone in the U.S.A. was the second National Park to be established in the world. The park was originally named The National Park but this was changed in 1955 after a quick visit by Queen Elizabeth II to the Royal National Park. It was created as a people’s park in 1879. Only 32km from the city centre of Sydney it is ideally located for Sydney locals and tourists alike to escape the pressures of the big city and relax in natural Australian bush, forest and coastal surroundings. The park covers an area of 132 sq km. / Royal National Park Sydney Map… National Park Bushwalking & Hiking / There are many walking tracks in the Sydney Royal National Park and ample access points to reach them. The diversity of the terrain offers a great way of getting to know the real Australia from clifftops to the coast. / Overview of Walk Tracks… / Don’t miss the virtual tour of the Coast Walk… Getting to Royal National Park Sydney NSW Austalia / The Royal National Park is readily accessible. There are four railway stations (Engadine, Waterfall, Heathcote and Loftus) with nearby access to the Royal National Park walking tracks. By car the park is just off the Princes Highway and if you are planning on seeing a large part of the park then a car will make it easier. by David Haviland

Taken at Hume Weir Albury, Australia. Despite recent rain the water level in our weir is still very low (around 10%) so many of the old trees that were killed when the valley was damed are still poking through the water.

  • Taken at Hume Weir Albury NSW Australia, taken just after the sun had set but 180 degrees away from the sunset. Although not a fiery sunset it still left some light in the sky.

  • Last Man Standing
    by David Haviland

    US$5.82–US$133.00

This image was taken at the Hume Weir near Albury NSW. Taken near the start of summer and you can see that the water level was already low, it has only got worse since then. The title came as this lone tree was the only one in the area and made me think of all of the trees that would have died when the valley was flooded for the weir. This tree must have been just high enough on the hill to survive. Hope you enjoy.

  • Jetstream
    by David Haviland

    US$5.82–US$133.00

Takenat the Hume weir Albury. Late afternoon light, great clouds and the jetstreams from jets which we get flying high overhead quite often. This was the last shot I got before the breeze picked up and ruined the reflection.
