Mangrove Island is just off Weipa – small mining town in far north Queensland in which I call home. This shot was worth getting the car bogged, waiting 16 hours to be rescued and being eaten alive by mosquito’s.

Sorry I’ve not been viewing and commenting on all the lovely works that have been added!! I promise to catch up soon! Carey and I took a trip up to the tip of Australia, by way of a plane from Cairns to Weipa, then a 4WD up the Peninsula Development Road to Bamaga from where we toured around Cape York before driving back down to the Archer River Roadhouse, then across to Chili Beach and back across the state to Weipa. Just got back last night and have 2,300 photos to sort through. / Bit daunting to be honest LOL Stay tuned.
