This is my girl Sombra (means shadow or shade in Spanish) She seems to chew non stop on a toy for hours. I have even seen her eyes rolled back or closed asleep at times.

She loves the snow… and I love photographer her play in it.

I titled this photograph resilient because if you look closely at her side near the back legs you will notice the stitches left from surgery just a prior to taking the picture. Vet found a mast cell tumor – stage 2. So far (knock on wood) that has been the first and last sign of the cancer.
