This is another magical area of North Wales ….. Coed y Brenin ….. I have used Painter X to render the image, it has the fullest range of ’ natural ’ brushes and if used with a graphics tablet the transition from orthodox to digital painting is painless, with the added bonus, you can ’ fiddle ’ with the end painting with the knowledge that if you go too far, you can remove it. / As a former traditional artist, I thoroughly recommend ’ Corel Painter ‘ / Final ’ tweaks ’ were made in Photoshop …... I thought the annotation/numbering was a nice touch so I left it in.

twas just another trip to planet NB32, / hopin’ to see slimy loha moo, / she’s lives beneath these smokey mists / a pretty creature she is with fists, / covered with scales and golden threads / wrapped all over her body and two heads… / well, she’s probably taking a nap, / on her ethereal mother’s lap… so i guess for now, / she can wait for my praise and wow, / while i’ll go about to enjoy NB32’s view, / from sundown till the new day breaks anew…. this picture shows the different stages / in making this piece from the / combination of my photographs / of saudi arabia’s mountain side, / to the processes employed / such as: / dodges and burns, / transparencies and filters / to fuse all these pix together, / the water or misty effects are / digitally painted using Corel X4 / tints, gammas, and color corrections.. / and finishing touches in PS… and after several hours, / this is the final product…!!! / enjoy!!
