This was all natural and I was walking by myself through the fields trying to capture some late traveling wildlife. This view was waiting for me at the edge of the woods.. Life can be good …. Hang This Where You Want A Mood

Dragon art inspired by our lovely Arlene Zapata. Arlene suggested that our friendly dragon should have a playmate. What better way to start the weekend than a friendly game between friends. Have no fear, good sportsmanship is always practiced in the land of Bryce. / / © Dave Moilanen 2008

Based on the theme for the weekend t-shirt challenge. In 2258, only fragments of our physical bodies will be left … ” The Ninth Insight – The Emerging Culture As we all evolve toward the best completion of our spiritual missions, the technological means of survival will be fully automated as humans focus instead on synchronistic growth. Such growth will move humans into higher energy states, ultimately transforming our bodies into spiritual form and uniting this dimension of existence with the after-life dimension, ending the cycle of birth and death.” From the Celestine Prophecy New age mumbo jumbo but it provided a nice bit of inspiration ;) The bones are taken from old anatomy drawings (public domain). I thought the annotation/numbering was a nice touch so I left it in.

twas just another trip to planet NB32, / hopin’ to see slimy loha moo, / she’s lives beneath these smokey mists / a pretty creature she is with fists, / covered with scales and golden threads / wrapped all over her body and two heads… / well, she’s probably taking a nap, / on her ethereal mother’s lap… so i guess for now, / she can wait for my praise and wow, / while i’ll go about to enjoy NB32’s view, / from sundown till the new day breaks anew…. this picture shows the different stages / in making this piece from the / combination of my photographs / of saudi arabia’s mountain side, / to the processes employed / such as: / dodges and burns, / transparencies and filters / to fuse all these pix together, / the water or misty effects are / digitally painted using Corel X4 / tints, gammas, and color corrections.. / and finishing touches in PS… and after several hours, / this is the final product…!!! / enjoy!!
Beauty is Eternally Free / Hamoa Beach Maui Hawai’i I picked some fresh Plumeria blossoms and a branch of blooming Bougainvillea and tossed them onto the luxurious black sand of Hamoa Beach and was only able to get a couple of shots when a wave came in and carried them out to sea. Copyright © Sharon Mau 2009 / All Rights Reserved “Hidden behind the veil of mystery, / Beauty is eternally free from the slightest stain of imperfection. From the atoms of the world, / He created a multitude of mirrors; / into each one of them / He cast the image of His Face; / To the awakened eye, / anything that appears beautiful is only a reflection of that Face. / Now that you have seen the reflection, hurry to its Source; / In that primordial Light the reflection vanishes completely. Do not linger far from that primal Source; / When the reflection fades, you will be lost in darkness. / The reflection is as transient as the smile of a rose; / If you want permanence, / turn towards the Source; / If you want fidelity, / look to the Mine of faithfulness. / Why tear your soul apart over something here one moment / and gone the next?” ~ by Jami ~ Translation by Andrew Harvey and Eryk Hanut Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi
I caught these guys at Parklife 2008 (a music festival in Melbourne, Australia.) they absolutely rocked the shit out of it.

This is another magical area of North Wales ….. Coed y Brenin ….. I have used Painter X to render the image, it has the fullest range of ’ natural ’ brushes and if used with a graphics tablet the transition from orthodox to digital painting is painless, with the added bonus, you can ’ fiddle ’ with the end painting with the knowledge that if you go too far, you can remove it. / As a former traditional artist, I thoroughly recommend ’ Corel Painter ‘ / Final ’ tweaks ’ were made in Photoshop …...
