  • i love the idea that this cat know’s exactly what day it is and that in his diary he had ‘snooze’ penciled in between 1 – 3pm…

  • When I saw this quotation on a church marquee, I thought immediately of this photo of a goldfinch on a Y-shaped branch and I realized the double meaning in the message. God is here when we wonder WHY and have no answers; God is here on those days that end in the letter Y—which is everyday. He’s here through our ordinary and extraordinary times, through our pain and our pleasure, through good times and bad. He is not a fickle God but One who is longsuffering and never abandons the children he created and loves. Jesus is called “Emmanuel” which means God is with us (on all our WHY?/Y days).

  • Portraits of Hope

  • I have spent countless hours playing as a child in this forest and as an adult I spend countless hours trying to destress in the same forests. This artwork has been featured in the group “Stillness speaks” 4 cards of this artwork sold so far.

  • This elm, chestnut and oak grove are very special to me as I use to play under these trees for hours as a child with my two sisters and neighbourhood friends. We would build cubbies from the branches that had fallen on the ground. We would build these cubbies and build communities under the trees. Now my mother and sister bring my neice and nephew who are 2 and 6 years old into the forest and build cubbies with them in amongst the trees. The photo was taken right on dusk as the sun was setting. I was madly racing around trying to light all the candles before it became to dark to see what i was doing. Two years ago my grandfather died and we buried his ashes amongst the trees so that they could go back to nature as all life comes from the Earth. He loved the trees just as much as I did and so do the childern of today. On a regular basis some child is building or playing in amongst the trees. My sister and brother in law used this photo on the front of their wedding invitation. This work has been featured in The Dandenongs Group.

  • My Mother and I went walking through the Wrights Forest In Avonsleigh and Cockatoo, there were so many stringey and peppermint gums that had sap dribbling out from under their bark as we walked along. This forest had been attacked and burnt by the Ash Wednesday Fires that happened in the summer of 1983, some 25 years ago. These bush fires killed around 20 people and burnt down 120 homes.

  • Shot through a bathroom window and outdoor blind after a bit of spontaneous scribbling on the misty glass.

  • From Hamilton I drove out through somewhat hazardous conditions to Shorncliffe Pier as carefully as I could in the conditions. The storm was right on my heels and the lightning advancing before the front was getting too close for comfort too often while driving. Nothing quite like the panic of having lightning hit a post in front of you while driving and being temporarily blinded at 60kmph! Anyway, I pulled in at Shorncliffe and got under cover as well as I could and stayed put for about an hour and a half, capturing this and a good many other shots.
