oH WOW! What an awesome day today has been in regards to my designs and works in RedBubble !! First i see this post in the front page/featured on RedBubble today when i logged in here (not till after 2pm). Great to see Webgrrl’s striking Sungoddess t-shirt design in a positive article about RedBubble in today’s Sunday Life magazine (an insert in The Age and SMH) on p14. Then it was a mad dash toi the shops to see if i can get a copy of the newspaper, but the newsagent was shut and all the other smaller stores had sold out. Rang around for friends to grab me one, then rang Safeways to see if they had a copy.. and they did, the last one! So they kept it for me.. and off i went for another walk..to get and see the article. Upon coming back and telling/showing it all to the kids.. i checked RedBubble and saw that one of the Sungoddess tshirt had sold. Woohooo.. then few hours later i check, and so shocked to see another two more sale.. the Sungoddess AND one of my newest fractal works titled SpiralSwirl sold too.. small framed print. Oh the excitement.. you would believe it, it even got me teary! Cuz this is really the first time something like this has happened, well.. making sales anyways..like several in a day. If i could hug myself and just cry i would.. cuz gosh ive been working towards my dream for so long now.. and its like finally.. the light is shining..(and its not an oncoming train..hehe) And then i just checked RedBubble again, and see ive made another Two tshirt sale (one being another SunGoddess).. sO THAT totals to 4 tshirts and 1 small framed (!!!) semi faints and picks self up again Ive been paid $ for designs of flyers, websites and cdcovers and also recently the Penthouse (May 2007) issue for my photos.. but.. ive never had this much sale in one day just for my creative works.. So a BIG heartfelt thanks to the Universe for encouraging me to follow my dreams.. and to all my friends who faithfully views the art i make and photos i take (and i do lots!) and go and on.. about my dreams, ideas and creative creations.. and to RedBubble Team for following Their dreams and inturn making so so many others (especially Australians) dreams a closer possibility. A few weeks ago (or maybe more..) i came to a point where i wanted to have small something (widget, feed, etc) that i can place on my main website (webgrrl.biz) and few other blogs that i have.. something that shows what’s been sold recently from all the places i have my art.. The only quick solution i could come up with (and with no cost) was to make a blog and post the info items, and taking the opportunity to Thank the buyer at the same time.. and so artSOLD was ‘born’ From there, i can then grab the rss feed and utilize it in many different ways.. my favourite being the widget at widgetbox : see here In a marketing and business sense, I’m not sure if this has been done before. We usually make a blog or websites to promote what art we make and whats for sale.. but making a blog/journal of what we’ve sold, i haven’t come across, and i have this belief that people like to know what people are buying, popular etc too.. So i thought, Why Not to have one for what’s sold!? Plus if/when buyer comes across the acknowledgment of thanks, thats a positive energy too…and im all about and for Spreading the Goodness! artSOLD took me a full day to set up, using a free blogger template i went lookin for.. Then i put thinkin caps on to see what ‘widget, promotional’ goodies there is available from all the three main places i associate with.. maybe you want to make one too.. :) Its a nice journal to have, and it makes you work just that bit harder (in promotions especially) so that you get sales, and that means a new post! :)

I’ve been really diggin the widgets ive been making, and placing them all over the place. It started just with my own personal stuff that i wanted to put on my other blogs/websites (yes, i have many).. then, i wanted to show others how they could utilize the RSS feed found within Redbubble (gallery, groups and forums). today i made a PAGE of Widgets from the RSS feeds of some of the groups i belong to in Redbubble.. / Widgets for You if you want me to make you a widget that i havent made yet..just bubblemail me. if you would like any of the widgets you see on the page, just click on the “Get Widget” button/link and it will give you codes you can copy and paste into your website, profile at myspace, facebook, bebo, and many other places..you will see all the familiar logos ;)

Yep, i just realised as i wrote this, i’ve never entered any sort of art/graphic/design competition – till this one! / VIEW/VOTE COMMENT & FAVOURITE IF U THINK ITS WORTHY (or if u just LiKe it :) ATTENTION! I found some real crap ones and some super cool ones.. / I have placed all my findings on my Webgrrl.biz blog/site so that you can go and have a look at it. If there are any there you like, just look for a button/link at the bottom of each widget, and you can grab it for yourself! Best Widgets for RedBubble RSS feeds The ones ive put in my recommended selection were chosen cuz they fit the best FOR RedBubble’s feed – meaning that we have photos in our feeds… You will also notice on my website on the sidebar (right side) that ive used the Random RB thumbdisplay made by Xavier – and further down you will see a square with like a slideshow of my stuff on RB with a bubble effect on it. Today started well with ThickBlackOutline informing me on msn that ‘We have coloured TShirts!’ Nice one – i went and adjusted all the new options. Im gonna have to be challenged and think further outside the box with the tshirt designs cuz most of my design didnt do too well on the darker tshirts (Olive, Green, Red). So will try and see what other style gonna suit this type of printing RB uses.. To promote the coloured tshirts, ive made a Banner and a Preview Window type thang, to post on my other sites / link exchange etc. RB ADMIN NOTE : Hope you guys will have Batch Tag Edit one day soon..

Its been a good (great!) month of T-Shirt sales for me this month, and especially this week, with 8 t-shirt sales between Monday 27th August to Friday 31st August! Yes.. i said to the kids last nite, “A t-shirt a day keeps the bills away!” hehehehe I also received news last night from a friend in Lebanon (who i got to meet at last years Soulclipse festival in Turkey) who wanted to buy a t-shirt i designed here, but due to being in Lebanon, paypal difficulties etc, made contact with his cousin here in Australia to buy the t-shirt for him so that it could be brought with the visiting relative currently here in Australia! Hows that for dedication! I kept thanking him so much, he had to tell me to Stop thanking him.. Hahaha :P This is the t-shirt that will be walking around in Lebanon soon : / Someone also this month bought 5 t-shirts from me in one sale. And according to my sales notification, the buyer was in Europe as conversion was from Euro dollars All up in August i sold 15 t-shirts and 3 cards. The cards/wallart sales has been very slow for me, and i affirmed again with myself to remember that somehow from the very beginning.. my photos has always brought the people to me, its like the window/doorways to other opportunities (t-shirt design?).. I will have to look at different marketing strategies to push the card sales. I think its a case of people not knowing that these cards/wallart are available. More so the card sales, im going to push more.. This month i also created an album called SOLD! in my Facebook and post the image of the design/product in the album when a design is sold for the first time. plus another album in there with designs on Black T-Shirts / More great feelings this month/this week was that when four different designs of the new ones i made, was sold within 24hours of release. the ‘iDoof’ design on t-shirt was sold

Well, thats the plan anyways… Few weeks, over even months ago – i questioned myself if it was a good idea to have my arts available for sale at different places online. I wondered if it was a better idea to stick to one place.. as i focus on my creative arts and the selling or sharing of it.. as part of my misson/goal : Sustainable Lifestyle.. So pretty much fulltime – and first major goal, is to make minimum wage weekly from all that i do. Then i pictured myself in a proper ‘real’ shop/office etc.. and i asked myself, if i would just have one supplier of goods or many? Would there be only one supplier providing me with tshirts, or would i have different ones for different products – so that i have the best available for my customers.. With that.. i bought Artdictive.com :) Yesterday – i opened another account here in RedBubble – under identity of Artdictive / In this section, Im gonna only put CARDS.. cuz other than the fact i seem to have trillions of stuff.. I want better control of the pricing – and with the current system RB has at the moment, the markups what i want for the cards is pushing the prices of the WallArt prices too high for my liking. Ive noticed few others here have done this too (card only account) – so thought id give it a go :)
