Monument Valley is like a moonscape of amazing red rocks and earth. It was loved by the famous western Director John Ford and is the back drop to many of his classic John Wayne films. Like Stagecoach. Just over the border from Arizona it is truly unforgettable. One of the great places in the world to visit.
Fantastic artwork by Wayne Nichols and amazing colors by Sean Ellery. The perfect combination of home-grown comic talent. Also available as a t-shirt!
...with a lovely colour job by Sean Ellery I might add! Also available as a print, poster or card!

Bruce Wayne walks around all day, every day, knowing he could kick the ass of each person he meets. Yeah… I’m a geek. I based this on Jim Lee’s Batman run, that guy blows me away!
Taken whilst having a coffee in Albury. It was a very hot day and he was wearing this heavy jacket…i was sweating just watching him. Note: I have since learned that this man’s name was Wayne and that he has recently died. Should any of Wayne’s friends or family stumble across my site and this image, may i express my sympathy for your loss Border Mail Story on Wayne Canon 50D, canon 50mm 1.8 @ f1.8 1/500 sec cropped.

John Wayne was my childhood Hero…I would go to the movies every Sat. morning and be transfixed with the enormity of this cowboy on the silver screen…I just knew I would marry Big John when I grew up and I can honestly say I saw everyone of his movies… many of them many, many times… / My favorite was “Angel And The Badman”...His name was “Quirt” in that movie and I grew up loving that name…I just knew “Quirt” was going to ride onto my grandparents place and we would ride off into the sunset…never happened…John died way too early…I was so sad and felt I had lost a dear friend… This is an original pastel , prismacolor pencil drawing on card stock, smooth bonded, acid free paper. / Thanks for viewing my artwork. /
From the 1952 film with John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara. This picture goes together with The Quiet Man Bridge
Featured in The Woman Photographer October 28th, 2009 / Featured in _# 1 ARTISTS OF REDBUBBLE _ October 29th, 2009 The Quiet Man Cottage in Cong, co. Mayo, Ireland / Cottage was used in the movie with John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara This day there was a gorgeous rainbow above the cottage, I took the shot from the river, in front of the fence. In PP I added a bit of texture, which I quite like, because it gives the image a painterly effect and a bit more vintage. The co. Mayo flag is hanging from the cottage. Also see / / For a different version of the same cottage And see / / For the bridge that was used in the movie
