Monument Valley is like a moonscape of amazing red rocks and earth. It was loved by the famous western Director John Ford and is the back drop to many of his classic John Wayne films. Like Stagecoach. Just over the border from Arizona it is truly unforgettable. One of the great places in the world to visit.

This has to be my favorite spot close to home for taking sunrises. Best at Low tide the textures of sun,sand, pebbles, clouds and water makes for some excitting photography. Just taking a brief break from Africa. I took this on a road trip through Arizona. It reminded me a bit of outback Australia. This is the famous Monument Valley where John Ford shot many classic John Wayne westerns. Classic cowboy country,
