I finally got to paint this from my digital manipulation, Don’t Give Up Searching . I’m so pleased with the result. I used a few different textures and oil paint and made the eye brown rather then blue so that the image was unified in pallet to suit a college project so that I could paint this particular piece without abandoning duty.

What you can’t see is that there is a whole top layer of trees that were drawn on the black background and when you look at this from other angles, they are visible – just quietly – like a subtle varnish. This is all about different phases of life borrowing the term of growing to fullness, or “waxing” of the moon. / My name actually means: Of the moon – or lunatic – you pick which fits. hahha! This is my collaboration with a sculpture student, we had to pick a partner and photograph their sculpture, he sculpts this miz of wax and black face paint onto people so i felt slightly at an advantage to my other peers but it was fun. I really like the outcome :)

I wanted to have a bit of fun with the Entish Tree Image. I so love it. So I opened up the edit software and had a bit of fun.. You really have to look at it close up to see the effects.. I think it will make a nice card or Abstract Realism art. The fine details of the tree limbs are gone but I like the silhouette and colors.. I will send this up for those whom like the view.. This past weekend someone showed me a video about an australian guy without limbs… he was talking to a group of schoolgirls and at a certain point he showed them his vulnerabillity by falling down… teaching them you can give in at that point and say i can’t get up on my own.. but you can also decide to give it a go.. and keep trying untill you find a way… trusting in god and in your own strength.. The vid. brought tears to my eyes… so often i thought i had hard times in my life.. seeing this guy enjoying his life to the fullest made me once more aware it is all about how you look at life, sure we all get our moments where we have our doubts.. but we can decide to step out of the downwards and create something else for ourselves it is a matter of creating other thoughts… Easy??? No… but determination is the keyword… the will to change.. the will to accept the gift of life in all its aspects and the abillity to see it is all about the journey we take from one life to the other.
