This sunset photo was taken on the 8th July. I could not believe the colours this day, absolutely breathtaking, needless to say I kept snapping away until the colours disappeared! We have some really awesome sunsets this winter with all the rain that we have had and lots of clouds about. This was taken looking over the Coomera River in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Acrylic On Canvas Phoebe is the baby of the trio. She’s a patchwork bunny doll with a thing for hats and caps, she is never seen without them. She wears an earring on her left ear and thinks she must be the funkiest patchwork bunny around. Okay folks if you were getting bored with my other creations (not!) here’s a new one with a very different Photoshop technique I’ve been ‘rooting around’ with for a few days. What was kind of cool about this piece is that I didn’t have to create the water from scratch like I normally do, but instead the existing lake photo was absolutely spot on for my little boat to sit in. I just cracked up when I plonked it there and it looked ‘right at home.’ ;-) How fun this all is…and thank you all for loving my little boats…

Watermelon , family Cucurbitaceae refers to both fruit and plant of a vine-like herb originally from southern Africa and one of the most common types of melon. This flowering plant produces a special type of fruit known by botanists as a pepo. The watermelon fruit, loosely considered a type of melon, has a smooth exterior rind and a juicy, sweet, usually red or yellow, but sometimes orange, interior flesh. The flesh consists of highly developed placental tissue within the fruit.

A Mam man with watermelon at the Saturday Market in Todos Santos Cuchumatan, Guatemala. Todos Santos is a small village isolated in the Cuchumatan Mountains of Northern Guatemala. Saturday is Market Day – the women gather to shop and gossip, the men occupy the village’s many bars to talk and drink – mainly drink. It’s a good idea for visitors to vacate the village before noon on market days.
