  • This is all that remains of a very old, rather long pier at Clifton Springs that sailing ships used to berth at 100+ years ago when bring passengers to the ‘healing waters’ of the natural springs in the area during that era.

  • Photographed at Letchworth State Park, in Portageville – New York (USA). Genesee River. The bridge in the background was constructed between June 8, 1875 and July 31, 1875. The bridge is 820 feet (250 m) long and 240 feet (73 m) high. A train passed over this bridge while photographing it today.   • For some reason this reminds me of a scene from Moby Dick… minus the whale of course. / / I was actually going Cod fishing with some friends for the first time off the Eastern coast of Newfoundland…. just had to bring the camera of course. Those clouds on the horizon kicked up such a fierce wind and it created some very large swells that relieved me of my lunch lol!
